I’m on maternity leave now as a single person and am struggling to find childcare for my baby. Is it an issue to take her with me to the courts?
    No.

I cant see it clearly, but worth double checking - you filed and served your bundle on the claimant AND with the court, yes?

I’ve had to create a new account because I was locked out of my old one. They’ve finally changed the date of the court hearing and it’s coming up soon.

As you were away from this forum since October, I am concerned to check:
    - did you also file & serve a Summary Costs Assessment yet?  You must do before the hearing (see other threads).
    - have you read what happened at Southampton and Skipton courts?
    - do you understand how the £60 added onto the parking charge is unlawful on three counts?
    - if not, I suggest you submit a skeleton argument now, attaching the legal judgments, as well as Schedule 2 of the the CRA 2015 with paras 6, 10, 14 an 18 highlighted as 'breached;' and a Summary Costs Assessment signed by you.

To get up to speed and find the Court Orders you need to read and use, search 'template defence' and read what we now suggest people put in defence, and people in your position can crib from that template and make a skeleton argument from it!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

thank you for this. they delayed the court hearing by 5 months so I am just getting up to speed with everything.
I haven't filed a summary costs assessment so I shall look into doing that today.
do you have a link around the southampton/skipton courts?
yes, I previously read around the £60 being unlawful however I am looking to submit a skeleton argument and take it with me on the day. My defence has already been filed as was due in court back in October but they changed the date due to not having a judge available. Would I just send the new information in the same way that I sent my initial defence?

    thanks

You can find it on the forum - its also in the "new" template defence thread, a search will find it.
Skellie - submitting it has to be in aadvance.
You have to file your WITNESS STATEMENT and exhibits. This is NOT the same thing as your defence. The newbies thread explains this. WHen is your DEADLINE for doing so? It is usually item 6 on the back of the letter that allocates you to a court at a specific date and time, and is worded as a number of days before the hearing, OR a specific date. Go check! NO DELAYING ON THIS

How you serve and file is covered in the newbies thread.

I have already filed my witness statement and exhibits as the deadline was before the first court hearing date and then it got moved. I shall look for the template defence thread. If I have already filed my witness statement is it then too late to file a skeleton defence?

No , because the defence went to the CCBC in Northampton , not your local court

Once the CCBC allocated a local court they withdraw from the case , so your witness statement plus exhibits plus costs schedule etc go to your local court (a bundle that you hand in) plus a bundle posted to the claimant

Your court order tells you what is required and where they go , please read it carefully

Any supplementary witness statements etc go to the same recipients , don't think you can ambush on the day as it won't be allowed , follow the instructions given above , plus links to what you require are in the template defence thread posted by coupon mad 2 weeks ago , plus the abuse of process thread by beamerguy as well , the search function on here is faulty so we can only do the same as you

You need to get up to speed on this because your absence means you are way behind on those developments

Yes, I have already done this. I sent all the relevant info to my local court prior to the first court date that was issued. It has then subsequently been moved to a following date and the new letter with the new date they sent me hasn't requested any further documents or given any additional timescales as it has all already been sent in. If I have submitted my defence, my exhibitions and my witness statement then is there anything else I need to do? I had it all checked over in this thread previously and sent it all in within the timescales.

If I have already sent all of that information off then is there anything else I need to do before the court date?
