Wont let me do as a single or regular payment. There IS a linked a/c showing, but says there is no direct debit facility. Got told off the other day for having multiple accounts of the same issue. Wondering whether to try opening new issues (last one opened was 32).

Their IT is just the pits.

    Just rubbish.

Numerous TD errors over months when attempting to create DDs.

Even worse is being unable to withdraw from an account due to another error message (but unwilling to call them and highlight myself!).

I asked last week for a one-off direct debit to one of my PO Savings Accounts. The money's ended up in an account that doesn't have an account linked to it (because it won't let me link an account). I cannot set up regular direct debits on some of my accounts; on others I cannot link a current account.
I have, however, manged to open an Issue 37 and set up a regular direct debit without any issues!

I received an email yesterday saying my latest Post Office Credit Card statement is ready. I logged on to download it, but it says there aren't any statements to download!!! Despite me having had the card since 2011 and making a purchase on it every month.

Any tips/tricks for opening issue 37? I cannot get past "we are experiencing technical difficulties".

Worked OK for me on my second try.

Do you have any existing Post Office Savers?
Can you add/withdraw money to them?

If you get technical difficulties there, then I have a theory you'd need to sort that first.

    If not, keep trying.

I currently have about £20 split across my PO savers, which is a level of risk I am comfortable with ;-)

Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Thanks. Yes I do have other issues. Have you applied whilst logged in (i.e. as an existing customer) or not? I've noticed the applications are slightly different.

Managed to open 3 x 37s, link a/cs and set up DDs (hurrah), to replace those that will not work. I logged in > apply > logs you out > complete app.
