Really spendy weekend. School summer fair on Saturday but did limit him to one go on the bouncy castle and he didn’t moan too much. There was a tractor and fire engine there so that distracted his attention. He got the hard word about not touching anything in the tractor cab when he climbed up, I’d pointed out to him that they cost £100,000 brand new and this particular one was still worth £28,000. I am not remortgaging to buy a tractor! Sunday we collected new school trousers for September and I bought myself some mr marks and mr sparks perfume that got rave reviews, very nice. Just felt like a bit of a treat really, didn’t need it but I don’t have any perfume (or didn’t) at all and sometimes it’s just nice to have a girly treat; I followed this up with reality and had to buy hoover bags :rotfl:
Unfortunately I also had to buy my lunch today as no bread or anything to put in it either. Hardly any milk for in the morning as it’s that getting towards the end of the month time but still seems a long way to payday. Waiting for some TCB to pay out and then I’ll get £12 towards the mortgage and I’m up to about £8 already on Prolific. Well off to practice my presentation again. Found a slight fly in the ontiment yesterday. I wrote out some prompt cards to have with me and then realised I can’t see them without my specs but with my specs I can’t see the audience! Decided just to write bigger on the cardsSPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)1 -
I have also bought a similar (if not the same) perfume from M & S. Similar to Light Blue(I think) & a fraction of the price.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Just noticed how well you are doing on this year's over payments. It's only June and you're well over half way to your 2019 target. Good luck with the job - got my fingers crossed for you!1

Thanks everyone. I’ve just requested £12 from TCB so when that hits the bank I’ll add that to the mortgage. Sadly the interview was not the best. Well that’s not strictly true as the actual interview part wasn’t too bad but the presentation wasn’t great. It’s a bit of a blur really but I kind of lost my way towards the end and it tripped up my train of thought which then all went a bit pants, I explained why I hadn’t gone down the PowerPoint route and they agreed with my theory on that and I also said I’d tried to memorise most of it so I could engage with the audience (year 11assembly) rather than just reading something. I just hope my passion for giving school leavers a chance and promoting vocational courses rather than churning out academic degrees came through (because it is how I feel). I used to work in nursing education where ever one of those candidates had a passion for the vocation but now I work in a department that awards approx 250 history degrees each year and I do wonder what they all do after university. Anyway I should find out on Tuesday as they have more interviews booked for Monday. He did say I’d done really well to get an interview as they had over 30 applications.
Going to have a relaxing evening with a cuppa and some tv as I’m shattered. Might actually sleep a bit better tonight as well.SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)1 -
Just made another overpayment of £12 bringing my overpayments this year to £905 plus pennies. Mortgage stands at £61,433.52 with potentially another £70 free to add before payday. That would mean that after my mortgage DD goes out on 10th July I would be under £61k and can move another marbleSPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)1

What do you do with marbles re the mortgage - well done on another OP!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

The marbles were something I read on Frugal Fairy’s thread. Two jars, marbles to represent mortgage, mine is one for each £500. One jar filled with the marbles to represent what you have already paid, other jar of marbles represents what is left to pay off. Move a marble each time you pay off a chunk of mortgage and you have a visual representation of how far you have come.
Just had an email from Prolific saying they are introducing fee free PayPal payouts when Circle goes.
