    Morning :hello:

Thinking of you jojo xx Lonnie Donegan, Frankie Laine, Conway Twitty?

I left work with a yabba dabba dooooo yesterday :D and called at the newly opened (first day) Mr C00p in the village on my way home. It was heaving!!! Not sure it everyone was being nosey (like me) or saying 'yah boo sucks!' to the naysayers who fought tooth and claw to stop it being built! I had a nice surprise at the till - freebies :D A box of 8 P1pers crisps and a goodie bag with bread and cake in it - thank you very much :D

The plan was to get up and on this morning - but that was decided last night :o In reality this morning has got off to a very s-l-o-w start: I've been up two hours and made one cuppa, caught up with fb, browsed for new-to-me car possibilities, played tetris and solitaire and revelled in the sheer bliss of sitting in my dressing gown until 9.30 am on a FRIDAY. :T

Hungry now - so I'm going to cut a doorstep off my freebie bread and make toast. I'll sort Mount Washmore and set first load swishing whilst toaster toasts and kettle boils.

Once I'm dressed I'll be back to start a timer. Well that's the plan :D

I'm showered and dressed in summer attire. Two hot cross buns have been consumed. Have decided to go for a very long walk with the dogs, will take their push chair as back up.

Flying - bed is made, washing up is done, clothes dried yesterday have been put away.

(((Hugs))) Jojo. No suggestions for the 50s, but if you get the chance to talk to the nurses and doctors about the DNR, please do so. Your mother isn't able to be rational about what's happening at the moment . You're the grown up in this situation, and full of commonsense generally, as well as big-hearted. Your brother needs you rooting for him.

(((Hugs))) Mrs MP. Bossy is much misssed by all of us, and if you PM'd her I'm sure she'd want to hear from you.

    Enjoy your Friday, Round!

Been up early as OH is away, shifting stuff around so that it's a fait accompli by the time he gets back - it's a lot less time-consuming that way. Another load run through the WM and pegged out, washing up cleared, dog given time-out for chasing my little sweetheart, the gentle Twiggle again, and then fed because dog only does that when hungry, although she turned down breakfast.

Sunny and warm here, absolutely beautiful day, the kind that makes me want to get on and do stuff. Just as well, I've got rather a lot to get on with. Bit hot and sweaty already, I've done so much. Cleaning as I go, very unlike me. Bring it on!
    Better is good enough.

A gorgeous day here on the edge pf the Peak District. No doubt the roads will be heaving. The Vallikids have gone to Alton Towers - it's lovely that they're old enough to both pay for themselves AND drive there.

    2 loads pegged out
Bunny running round garden and doing his bit (dandelion munching)

Plan to clean LR and DR today (guests Sunday)
    Clear ironing pile.
Sort car insurance - EVERY comparison site is giving me the same company/price; the ones not on comparisons are more expensive. So it's back to quidco for the cashback.

  • Did a wash this morning and put it to dry out on the airer in the garden before I left for work and plan to do the same again tomorrow (and Sunday if needed)

Only working until 3pm so will go home and give OH's kids their eggs (and OH his) then I think we are off for a few Bank Hol drinks once they have been dropped home.

Tomorrow will be my main day of catching up but there won't be much to do :)

Back from dog walk which was nearly three hours with a stop off at my friends farm to meet the new calves and chicks, and have a cuppa.

Sitting down now, whether I get up and actually do anything else now is debatable.

Hoping for good news Jojo, thinking of you and your family x

I’m the proud owner of an extra shelf in our airing cupboard. I have been wanting one since moving here July 2000. Whilst filling it up I leaned on the original shelf and dislodged it so it has had to be fixed.

Walk in wardrobe tidied and dusted as someone made a mess retrieving power tools which are kept in there.

    Ironing basket filled

    2xwm dried outside

DH has poly filled the holes around the house caused by DS2’s meltdowns so it now looks like we are mid decorating to visitors.

NDB1 N’ son stopped me when we retuned from the park to say his mother died on Monday. It has been extremely quick :(

dancegran went home yesterday and dancepops moved to an assessment bed in a local care home this morning.

    washing in
garden furniture brought out of shed and sprayed with teak oil.
faffing about 'cleaning' dining room...have dealt with shredding though, and have cleared the 'filing' lots of that should have been filed before but suffered from my CBA mood; some of it went straight to shredder as no longer applicable
    Aldi shop done.
    Car insurance bought.
    Docs emailed to prove NCD.

  • Evening all:

Jojo, sorry to read your news, remember to look after yourself as you go forwards. It's easily forgotten and so very important.

This morning I did some daily jobs, sorted the kitchen etc.

Day out at the beach. It was fab! pickle loved it although the majority of the beach now seems to be in my car.

Hubby returned home while we were out:
The good - he got his dirties out of the case and swished them through the wm.
the bad: why did he not hang them out to dry when they were done?
The ugly: you don't want to know!

He has dumped everything else though, so the house is feeling like a total tip. I need to do something about it tonight or it will get worse and stress me even more.

Going to attempt the pressure washing tomorrow, let's hope no more back issues!

Have a lovely good Friday evening everyone.

    Wish.
