Morning
I have read through the last day or so but apologies if I’ve missed something.
I didn’t miss about your OH though, Jojo. Congratulations and fingers crossed and all that.
Valli - flylady vibes coming your way. Loved the Atomic comment but now I have the Blondie song in my head...
Ouch, Wish.
Today is again catch up day. The wm is on its second go, HHI seen off, dw emptied. I am taking DD to big town this morning for more art supplies. As I can hear movement from her pit, it seems as though she has remembered.
I’m going to hang the washing out, then catch up with the LR and BR until she appears.
DH has invited some friends round for dinner at the weekend so now I need to think about that and also try to make the dining RoD habitable. This could take a while.
I’ll be back later. Have a lovely day all. Oh - and welcome / welcome back to newbies and returners.0 -

Oooh, lovely. I spent three years visiting my mother in three different care homes, and I wish they'd been like that. Sorry about your spare bed paperwork.Narc0lepsy wrote: »House not at all as I'd like it to look for my mum's arrival tomorrow.

Sorry that's all.
I imagine your mother is coming to see YOU, not inspect whether you've dusted the WhatNot. You've done as much as you can, and that'll be all that needs doing. The rest can wait for as long as it takes.
Sorry about LittleyDog's upchuck, Jazee. Is it happening a lot?
*Healing vibes* Wishing. At least all the stuff's ready for someone else to do the actually pressure-washing over Easter, because obviously it can't be you. What a shame.
OH dropped off at the station for a 36 hour visit to London for meetings and a footie match stuff dropped off at the Council so that's another bit of paperwork done and dusted, Sainsbobs visited for chicken for a small dog who clearly dislikes the expensive dog food so is still far too skinny to be healthy, and I'm now deleting hundreds, if not thousands of email because it's all cluttered and needs dealing with once and for all.
When lodger goes his room will be turned around, washing done and hung out. We've then got the house to ourselves for three weeks so that'll be nice for change before old lodger friends come for various weeks here and there for the summer. Lovely.Better is good enough.0 -

Thank you for all the Wishes everyone.
I've had pills, a really hot shower, and deep heat. It seems to be reasonably under control. I'm not risking doing the pressure washing though. I still have to single parent until hubby returns home tomorrow and then again all day on Sunday.
I've spent a fortune at the supermarkets and sorted Pickle an Easter gift in lieu of an egg (he's not actually that into chocolate and has one from the playgroup he goes to)
I've sorted my Sunday school stuff for Sunday (Easter special, so not like normal prep)
And started a bag of stuff to take to a bbq on Saturday afternoon.
I need to do a bit of baking and prep a picnic for tomorrow. But first a sit downOutstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Does anyone have one of those boiling water taps?? I just wondered if it was any good and how it works.. do you need separate hot/cold taps? Could you if you wanted to?
Oh.. its 2:50.. I've not eaten yet.. fgs... why does time fly by so fast?!?!
New light fittings installed.. the girls have been using candles in the bathroom so now I have to mop the ceiling and walls and everything as they are all sooty!!
Off to sort washing and the dishwasher now.. I will have a functional house again!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Three loads of washing done and dried, dailies and dog walking done, large batch of soup made.
Took the dogs to groomer, reloaded car with rubbish, went online to get tickets which was a nightmare. Ran out of time to get to tip before collecting dogs. Luckily DH got home early and I used his car for the dogs. Drove to tip, temporarily closed. Came home, had lunch, went back to tip and finally got rid of rubbish. I have some more but it can wait till Tuesday.
Dinner is prepped. HB, Littleydog is demanding food, another chicken and rice fan here, so she must be feeling better.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Welcome back bonnie - good to see you posting
wishing - gentle hugs; take care x
Today I have put out the rubbish and recycling (and brought the recycling box back in), taken one full suitcase and 2 bags of unwanted clothes, books, bric-a-brac to the charity shop, done WM x 1, paid cash and cheques into my bank and a cheque into Dad's, posted a parcel and eaten some mini eggs ice-cream!!

Good evening
I managed to walk the dog before starting work today. I only had 3 children today, and DD2 was looking after a LB with Downs as respite, so we went to the park. My 3 YO wasn't sure about the new boy - he has only just got used to having babies around! - so he was very grumpy all day. After lunch I took the 3 YO & 6 YO brothers to the allotment. They had fun digging and playing with the mud kitchen. I am trying to do the 'no dig' approach - they were having none of it!! The boys were full on all day & it was a relief at home time!
I then cleaned the downstairs toilet & basin, and vacuumed up the LR - after unblocking the hoover (DD2 vac'd her room the other day!!) Seedlings watered - I may plant them over the weekend!
Now I need to do some updating of daily diaries & my FB page - but finding my get up go has got up and gone!!
I would love to get the house and garden cleaned up this weekend, but fear 4 days will not be enough! We also need to buy a new kitchen sink, but it has not been as easy as we thought it would be!0
