Credit Card Advice for £700 Purchase

Quick question.
Want to spend £700 but would prefer to have a bit more cash in the bank at the moment.
Can I get any old 0% credit card for 12 months and pay it off monthly?
I don't think for a low £1000 I'd have any problems but might be a good way of having a temporary 0% loan?
Just making sure.

You would need a card that offers you 0% on purchases, not on balance transfers. 0% purchase cards are quite hard to come-by.
But if you have another CC you can utilise a balance transfer: pay the purchase with the existing card, then transfer the amount onto the new balance transfer card.0 -
A 0% purchases card is what you need. This is on the assumption that whereever you are purchasing the item from accept card payments.
