  • Weather is blooming awful , cold , wet and dark. Been to swap Christmas presents with a friend , stood in her porch for 30 mins with a hot chocolate she made to keep us warm. It was great to see her , the last time was 18th March on her birthday.
My parents have had a call for them to go for the Covid jab. Sadly dad can't have it because he is on blood thinning tablets . Mum has opted to have it after Christmas, she didn't want it before in case she is ill with it.
Going to go and cook the veg for my Sunday roast .

  • Glad you got to see your friend.
Hopefully the new vaccine might be good for your dad too. X

I'm glad you got to see your friend Sunshine, I bet that cheered you up :)

I'm sorry your dad can't have the vaccine. My DH is on blood thinners so he may not be able to have it either which is a shame as he's very high risk :(. Perhaps the Oxford vaccine will be suitable for people on blood thinners.

The doctors phoned my dad and said that he can have the injection , so not sure what is right or wrong . The receptionist who phoned said he couldn't so who knows .

Day off , so went and brought a new sofa and armchair . Big contribution from mum and dad for Christmas, i had to pay about £258 which will come from savings . Probably be early spring before it arrives .
This afternoon wrapped every present , it took me 3 hours with a couple of tea breaks.
Lunch with parents tomorrow for my birthday and then off to see the GKs for birthday cake and candles.
My dear friend in the Lake District has been queried for bowel cancer , only time will tell .
