After they respond to the SAR with their evidence, what should the keeper of the vehicle do then?

If you would only follow the advice you have been given here you would not be asking that question!

Sorry I don't understand. My anxiety is through the roof and I haven't slept a wink worrying about this

In my opinion you should pay it. Clearly going to court is not for you. Ask for mediation and offer a quarter of what they are asking.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Thanks for your opinion. I don't have a spare 800 quid lying around though.

Why do you think I should pay it?

I did not suggest that you pay in full. Read what I wrote.

Court can be stressful and time consuming. You have to grasp some complicated issues and go head to head with a solicitor, do you think that you can do that?

The Op's question to you came before your edit to your #15 and was in answer to this (pre-edited) post:

You really do need to get some help from a friend to go through this with you (as you were advised by Coupon Mad in #8)

    Hello there.

Have you done everything Coupon_mad advised in post 11 above? That would be replying to confirm the correct address for service, the SAR & the Rectification Notice?

I know you are feeling wobbly, but you object strongly to any suggestion to consider not paying. Hmmm, I suspect you're made of sterner stuff than you're letting on!

I have noticed that a fair few people have had their Smart PCNs cancelled by landowners at a late stage, see these posts:

So have you complained to the landowner? No fretting about 'running over while shopping', That's what comes of being the kind of customer stores want!

A big admission from me, 'cos I've been hanging around here quite a while, but I am lousy at searches. Damned if I can find recent cases involving Smart at the court stage. Tell us, do you think you'll calm down if you can find a similar case?

This is not such a big thing you know. They'll be some sweat & tears no doubt if you decide to fight, but no blood! Also, please reassure me that you are not trying to access this forum on a phone ... that just doesn't work.
