I got the bursary I applied for so now I am off to the Highlands in the Autumn for a wee break. :T I do love the Scottish Highlands and I have always been able to create there so I am so happy and thankful about that.

I got all the of travel tickets for Scotland for half the price I paid last time by getting them ridiculously early! :money:

I reached out to a friend and she wants to connect too.:)

    I did a top-up shop when I said I wouldn’t. I had food in but it wasn’t organised so I grabbed a few deli items from Ald1 yesterday (£7) :o
To make amends I already have a YS chicken pot roasting as I type. I’m also soaking split peas to make a vegan curry tomorrow. :money:

I had a good day in the office with colleagues. I will miss working alongside them.

I am on top of the mess at home (just about)

Wishing you all a lovely Saturday

Great news on the bursary . Have you finished paid employment now or is it later on this year ?

Thanks Marks88 :) I really pushed myself to apply for the bursary as I had to turn it around in 1 day when I was working too. So glad I did now. As for the friend, we have been friends 15 years and you can make new friends, but not new, old friends so I wanted to try...

As an aside if it’s 4 weeks to go and you are being made redundant get yourself to the CAB and speak to one of their benefit specialists. These things only pay out from the day you apply. So apply on day 1 not day 10 or day 100.

Thanks JWIL, INOD, Beanie and PH for the congratulations on my bursary :)

Marks88 I did not know I was eligible for any benefits at all. I will check with a welfare benefits helpline to see what the position is. Thank you for the prompt :)

Today I had a lightbulb moment:

One of the reasons my dining-study-living room is such a mess is because it isn't a definite area. I'm so used to the house not all being habitable that I am not using all the rooms.I've started using my living room as a relaxation room/TV room now so less pressure on my dining room. If I get the window in the small room done (quoting this week ;)) I can get that room decorated and use it as a proper study :)

I made a curry that was too watery. Never mind...:o
Consumed the unhealthy triple today: crisps, wine, chocolate :o Must try harder...

    Scores on the doors
    August: 2/31 AFDs
    August: 1/31 NSDs

Off to wash all the dishes in the kitchen AGAIN!!!

Roll on the new week. Let's hope its a good one for us all :)
