She's not usually away for long - I know she was having computer problems. I'll have a good look for the info you need, but may not get back before tomorrow.
It's just that weller has, successfully, reclaimed monies paid under similar circumstances to yours.
I also heard that the OFT were interested in hearing about people's experience with RW, as they are preparing a 'file' on their activities.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Dear Mrs x
Further to your recent letter, a copy agreement has been requested from our client and we await their response. Please note, as regular payments have been made to this account since March 2004, this debt has been acknowledged by you and is fully enforceable. Please send your arrears by return.
Yours faithfully

This is hilarious.
What hand jobs!
You have queried their right to collect this debt on the basis of the Consumer Credit Act, the requirements of which they have comprehensively failed to meet.
They are arguing that you should pay on the basis of the Limitation Act when you are not even disputing the debt on that basis!
get weller on the job and I will find pip's complaints list.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
These addresses are the ones that I have used to find the information that I required, You may want to research pages other than the ones I have linked to, try clicking on the home page if any of these aren't what you wanted.

I have just looked at the link provided by RAS for the OFT but on that they say "The OFT cannot provide advice or assistance to individual consumers or traders"
So where does that leave me with regards to reporting RW to them?

You should complain via the Trading Standards Department, either of your local council, or, preferably via the Trading Standards Department of the council which covers RW's address.
Even both yours and RW's council.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Hi
At least one other OP completed the complaint form here, on the advice of the Consumer Direct line.

Should I now send a letter to RW stating that they have committed an offence by not supplying me with the required information - plus further harrassment - and that they have until 21st Jan (as per earlier letter) to refund all payments made by myself or I will report them to the appropriate authorities?0
-
Tomorrow is the 21st - the deadline for RW contacting me and refunding my payments.
As they are obviously not going to do it who do I contact first.
Do I go to trading standards and wait for them to get in touch with RW or do I write again to RW and tell them I will report them to Trading Standards plus the other organisations mentioned and give them more time to settle my claim?
I just want to get this right so anyone with some experience in the above matters would be great.
Thanks
LM
