Thanks to lantanna, maman, cathybird & cuppa tea for your encouragement and wise words. Apologies for yesterday but I was feeling very down - I am however feeling a bit more positive today 🙂.

As as long as I can stay AF on Mon/Tues I can still reach target 🤞. I am going to take the advice offered and set my target for July a bit lower with the hope of exceeding it if I can - I just seem to be very up & down at the moment.

Cathybird - could I please set a target of 10 for July? Thanks for all your hard work keeping tally for us all.
Yayyyyyy, so glad to hear you'll still be here Sukeyboo imageimage

Hi all, as a motivator, I put the change from £5 a day in a jar (lots of £5s in it!) and spend it on something I want (rather than need). So far I've paid for 3 holidays abroad a Fender guitar (£405) and still have £370 to splurge. (All money I'd have otherwise enhanced the profits of the off-licence with.

    134 (therefore £ 670 saved) alcohol-free days in 2020. Might be 135 by tomorrow!!
I do something similar RobM99. Every day I don't drink I transfer a small amount to a separate account and that's "Me Money" 😄.

Glad you are staying Sukeyboo and like me you can get to target if no alcohol today and tomorrow. I'm really keen to do this and would love to see you achieving it too. I'm declaring early for tonight so 17/18  for today Monday.

Cathybird can I try again for 18 in July - might be a struggle because I'm hoping to be away for a few days but I do want to try and get to my yearly target this year. I've also put on lots of weight in lockdown - too much baking - and need to think about that. I'm missing going to the gym and really struggle to exercise at home but actually the reason for the weight gain is simply eating too much! Amazing 😉.

Can I join and (realistically) start from tomorrow?
A bottle of wine most nights is hurting my weight and my pocket aside from anything else.
I have given up alcohol for extended periods previously, now it's become a habit!

Lady K9 also has a big issue with the same, so perhaps I can help her as well ....

You'd be very welcome K9. You could start tomorrow, rather than put it off, but perhaps you meant from Wednesday July 1st? I'd suggest you have a practice run unless you've got a special  reason for drinking today?
If you want to set a target for July or go target free and see how you do, just post and Cathy will add you to the list.
