Hi all, as a motivator, I put the change from £5 a day in a jar (lots of £5s in it!) and spend it on something I want (rather than need). So far I've paid for 3 holidays abroad a Fender guitar (£405) and still have £370 to splurge. (All money I'd have otherwise enhanced the profits of the off-licence with.
134 (therefore £ 670 saved) alcohol-free days in 2020. Might be 135 by tomorrow!!Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!4 -

Thanks to lantanna, maman, cathybird & cuppa tea for your encouragement and wise words. Apologies for yesterday but I was feeling very down - I am however feeling a bit more positive today 🙂.
As as long as I can stay AF on Mon/Tues I can still reach target 🤞. I am going to take the advice offered and set my target for July a bit lower with the hope of exceeding it if I can - I just seem to be very up & down at the moment.
Cathybird - could I please set a target of 10 for July? Thanks for all your hard work keeping tally for us all.3 -
It’s great that you are going to keep posting sukeyboo, you would be missed if you decided to bow out. Your posts do make a real contribution to the thread, and don’t forget that lots of people read this without posting themselves, and I’m sure there will be those who can really relate to what is happening with you, and they will benefit from being able to read your posts. Also I’d miss seeing that lovely cat in your picture whenever you post.Having a lower total is a very sensible idea as it still gives something to aim for, without any pressure.Really hope that things start to look up for you soon but, in the meantime, just hang in there. You are doing great.5
