Before Xmas we were chatting about Nordic Noir - well, I'm enjoying the new one "Wisting". It's on BBC iplayer if you've missed it.What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0

4/26 AFDs today0
-
Morning all, I did have an AFD yesterday and didn't change my mind - didn't fancy the leftover mulled wine so down the sink it went. In fact I suspect if I ever want to drink wine at home I have to think in terms of chucking some of it out. It feels wasteful but the alternative is drinking the whole bottle "because it is there", which seems worse. Anyway, it's 6/21 for me today.
What about buying those little single glass bottles of wine Cathybird? I buy them sometimes, I know they are probably not as cost effective as a full bottle, but might be worth a look?0 -
Day 6 AFD for me please Shaggy xx0

Hello all ! Had a planned drink day on sat and sun

2 more to add to my total please Shaggythats 2/5on the snc.
Shaggy and CathybirdAs for the waking up it’s a combination of anxiety, too much wine ( though happens when am not drinking too, feeling hot (menopause), then oh snoring which keeps me awake. His snoring doesn’t wake me up just stops me going back to sleep! Am hoping things will improve now Christmas is out of the way. I don’t think I’m depressed just p*ssed off more I think with life at the moment. It will pass hopefully, am better when Spring has sprung. Had a right strop at him on Saturday morning, he was too scared to go to sleep Sat night :rotfl: My mum has the same problem, she wakes at 330am almost every night.
I too am enjoying Wisting.Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.0 -

Morning all, 7/21 for me today please
arsenalbarnie, glad to hear you don't feel it is depression, though I do think the time of year does not help. xx
sukeyboo and Happy Monday, thanks for the suggestion of the small bottles of wine. I'm not sure they're often especially brilliant quality, but maybe I'm wrong? ... Anyway, it's definitely a thought, though I also think that now I'm out of the habit of drinking at home maybe I should just stick to that! I was saying sometime last year that I was near my old flat at one point and there's a wine shop right at the end of the road, two minutes' walk, and when I went past it the guy behind the counter waved at me. He remembered me, even though I haven't lived there for nearly a decade nowI used to be in there all the damn time. I certainly don't want to go back to that. But the small bottles suggestion is worth looking into for occasions when I do want to drink at home (like my birthday).
