    Anybody else?
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Arkers so sorry to read about your dog.
Pets do take part of our hearts with them. A long time ago we knew our much loved dog was dying but had agreed with the vet to wait until she became unwell, if that makes sense. That was a good plan except she became unwell on one of the children's birthdays and we decided to try and wait until the next day, because of the upset to the child, which was a huge mistake. We were up all night with her and I will never wait again so I am sure you have made the best decision for your dog, as hard as making that decision was.
Arsenalbarnie - thinking of you too.
I'm away so not not drinking but strangely looking forward to drinking less soon.

Morning all, so very sorry about the dog Arkers , you certainly have had a lot on lately x
My life has just gone from bad to worse ,,,, I really couldn’t settle re the old BF business, , call it paranoia, or woman’s intuition, but I knew something was amiss,,,,
So I did a really naughty thing and ‘guessed’ his phone lock number ,, bingo , got in on first try ,,
The lady he is friends with is exactly that , just mates , the work mate is that as well ,,,,,,,,
But I have found out there is a another woman,,,,,and he is having some sort of relationship with,, it’s purely sex , they meet up at his house every now and then , she works at local pub , and they are always drunk , it’s been going on for a couple of months ,,
There is no sentiment in there text conversation, no kisses , and she didn’t even know he was away ,
I am gutted , but in a strang way relieved that I now know I wasn’t going mad!
I’ve not told him I know ,,,,, think I can have a little play with this one ,,,,,,,,,,,,!

Anyway I did drink yesterday, but today I hope to be AF x
:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:

loveasale, very sorry to hear about your BF - I had a cheating BF and I know what it's like. You think you're going mad but on some level you know. I hope you can sort it out :(

    It's 8/21 for me today.

(((Hugs))) Arkers. If it's time then you're a really good person putting the dog's needs before your own. From my own experience on Boxing Day I know just how savage the pain is, but I also know that sometimes real courage is doing what's right no matter what it costs our souls. More (((hugs))).

Enjoy every moment you have left with your dog, Arsenal Barnie. Knowing that time's limited is better than having an awful shock without any warning at all. We all know how precious time is and there is a lot to be gained from slowing down our own pace to the speed of the little soul that wants to keep up, but needs to take it gently. Lots of (((hugs))), lots of warmth, lots of calm quiet time helps.

It seems really monstroustly unfair that you're both having such a rotten year.

    7/10 please, Shaggy.
Thank you all for your kind word everyone, particularly the way you have helped the situation HB.

We amputated his leg 8 months ago due to cancer, he was amazing after, coping really well however he was 14.7 years old and his remaining hind leg was failing and he was struggling to maintain his weight and walk/stand etc. It would have been cruel to let him go longer (much as we all wanted to). He was in quite a bit of pain although stoic until the end.

I held him whilst the vet sent him on his way, and the last thing he saw and voice he heard was mine. I take comfort from the fact that he had the best life any dog could have wished for, and he made memories for our family that will last forever.

Thanks once again for all your thoughts and support, it means a lot.

    6 please Shaggy

    Arkers x
