    Good morning everyone,

Just when I thought this year couldn't possibly get any worse we have after a lot of soul searching made the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved Jack Russel to sleep. I know it's the right thing to do, but goodness it really physically hurts. Unable to "talk," anymore, but as I need a clear head this morning I didn't drink.5 please Shaggy

  • So sorry Arkers heartbreaking for you. I think we are both having an annus horriblus. My beloved old lab has some health problems that aren’t going away and am starting to feel uneasy about them. Sometimes life sucks.

    4/15 for today please.

(((Hugs))) Arkers. If it's time then you're a really good person putting the dog's needs before your own. From my own experience on Boxing Day I know just how savage the pain is, but I also know that sometimes real courage is doing what's right no matter what it costs our souls. More (((hugs))).

Enjoy every moment you have left with your dog, Arsenal Barnie. Knowing that time's limited is better than having an awful shock without any warning at all. We all know how precious time is and there is a lot to be gained from slowing down our own pace to the speed of the little soul that wants to keep up, but needs to take it gently. Lots of (((hugs))), lots of warmth, lots of calm quiet time helps.

It seems really monstrously unfair that you're both having such a rotten year.

    7/10 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

Arkers, so sorry to hear about your Jack Russell, it's so sad always, but Honey Bear is right, sounds like you made the right and courageous decision. I hope you are as okay as circumstances allow xxx :(

    7/21 for me today please.
  • So sorry to hear that Arkers. As HB has very eloquently said, that decision takes real courage. I’m not so sure I will be able to do that, when the time comes.

Awww sad times. My eldest sister has just lost her lovely dog after 15 years, she had the sweetest temperament. Too sad.
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
