As I'm a newbie seller, I didn't expect much really.. but I've sold at least 2 items a day, every day for the last 2 weeks!!
It's getting to the point where I've exhausted the bookshelves here (and all my family's) so I am thinking about registering as a business now!0 -
Hi Lallysmum,
Glad to hear the selling fairy is safe and sound :j

Oh, I'm terrible now.. went to see my parents yesterday and stole 20 books.
They did know I did it, but they aren't aware that I've been eyeing up their dvd collection as well... lol0 -

I do that
Bought my OH a book earlier in the year for his birthday and sold it 'accidentally' , I managed to buy another copy before he realised but saw how well they were selling on Amazon so sold that one and forgot to replace it. I got a phone call one day while I was at work asking where the book was as he needed it for some research..had to go to a book shop and buy another. Then OH caught me trying to sneak in with the new copy.
I've also sold books and DVds that I thought my sons had finished with, then blamed them for being careless when they say later they can't find them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience of selling VHS on amazon? I've tried a couple but they don't seam to work well with the barcode scanner, could someone clue me in as to why?
Thanks,
Joe0 -
Hi Joe, just tried 6 random VHS barcodes with my scanner - all seem to be working okay. Are you doing this from your Seller Account area in the 'List single items' link?
Otherwise, is your scanner reading them okay?

Also for the older books where people have created the listing there seems to be multiple created listings for the same book and thats always slightly irritating
Yup, as if peeps assume no ISBN=no entry. Very rarely the case, actually - always worth searching with book title and author surname. The most obscure stuff regularly turns up as listed already.0 -
The selling fairy has visited me - I've sold 34 items in three days. I dread to think what the post office clerk will think when she sees me this afternoon! It was definitely worth promerchant fees, but what will I dooooo when I run out of books, DVDs and CDs to sell? I'm already raiding the kids' rooms.
1p items (newish fiction paperbacks) are not really shifting but poetry books and DVDs are waltzing off the shelves.
I wonder if there are any carboots in my area this weekend.... I'll have to register as a business but I need more stock.
The cheapest place I've found to get mailers and jiffy bags from is Viking so far - anyone found any other good suppliers?0 -
Completely dead here for me, I was selling at least 2 books a day then suddenly it stopped and I have not had a single sale yet in November.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
