I have stopped using it from the last incident (2014).
Actually I have booked a ticket from my card for them.

Starting to sound like a shaggy dog story!

Did you read what I wrote above? The airline does not want to carry the risk and people from the Sub Continent will be deemed high risk.

You may want to talk to your government about issuing bonds of surety or similar if you don't like it.

    Hi Angus

Thanks for the information. If they can be formalise this information anywhere in the visa or in the ticket that would be perfect.
My friend is expecting a baby and its due soon. We got the delivery date but sometimes it may slightly change. So they didnt book the return ticket.

I'm beginning to suspect you're not telling the full story here...

Are you the customer in question, having gone back to an airline you stopped flying with, been caught out by new travel rules and trying to save face by claiming you're acting on behalf of "friends"?
Actually I have booked a ticket from my card for them.
    As I suspected.

It really is best to be honest when you're asking for advice. Trying to hide details behind dubious cover stories and then drip-feeding new information well into a thread just wastes people's time.

When you booked, you would have been asked to read the terms and conditions of booking and confirm that you have read and understood them. Did you read them or did you do what most people do and just tick the box? I'm sure that if these "new rules" and "misleading policies" weren't specifically listed in the terms and conditions, reference to checking the travel requirements of the countries in question would have been. The time to check all this was before you booked and before you confirmed the booking.

    Hi
Now the same airlines creating their own rule. As per the gov.uk website the visitor from India should not need a return ticket until and unless they return within the same 6 months. Otherwise they would not be given visitor visa next time. But they are asking passengers to buy a return ticket at the check-in counter and refused to check-in. Creating chaos to the passengers and scaring the elderly passengers that they will not allow them to check-in. When I asked them in their twitter feed they are not responding properly. Is it legal to tag their executives or send an email directly to them? How do I stop them doing this? Could someone please advise me on this?
If you are saying that this airline is denying boarding to passengers who actually have all the correct documentation, what does their website say about 'denied boarding'?

Some countries require you to have a return ticket out of the country and while most probably wouldn't follow this rule it's the airline who pay to have you removed. I've come across a number of airlines who insist on a return ticket, it's not uncommon. Just make sure to book a refundable return leg.

What I don't understand is why anybody would fly without a return ticket anyway unless.......

I've done it before when I plan to leave the country via a road border crossing.
