Thanks for that FF, I have several bidders now who are added to my OK list as they are in strange countries that I don't usually ship to.

Thanks for all this info, plan to start selling. Will do some more research.
  • hi all, i've got a load of things i'd like tp shift and hopefully get a few quid for - am considering ebay but am not really sure what the best approach is. How do I work out how much to list things for? How do I work out how much to charge for the postage? If there is a page on here I should read through let me know, and apologise if i've asked a load of wuestions that have already been answered elsewhere!!

Some of the basic points are covered here:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1623183&highlight=tips+new+sellers

Just work out your end price after all fees and charges before setting your start price. It is a common mistake for newer sellers to sometimes sell too cheaply and end up losing money.

List many items at once very easy
    http://pages.ebay.com/turbo_lister/

I note that you've referred to the US version of the program here, is there any reason why? Its just that I've DL'ed the UK version and I can't get the program to launch after installation.

  • I have sold two items only and got a headache for 6+ months ongoing. I totally agree with the article on webpronews[dot]com

The top ten things that sellers are frustrated with about eBay:

    1. Management
    2. Feedback Policy
    3. Small Businesses Get Shut Out
    4. Lack of Communication
    5. Payment Policies
    6. Fees/Lack of Profitability
    7. Unwarranted Account Suspensions
    8. The Buyers Themselves
    9. Glitches
    10. Lack of Innovation

Does anyone know where one can complain about eBay? About customer service.

    Thanks.

You want to complain about buyers  I have a simple solution for you, sell on ebid instead then you pay no fees and never ever get bothered by a buyer again.
