There are a few threads running already and the one thing to remember is that this is for private sellers only and that FVFs have increased.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I can assure you that Lloyds TSB won't help. When I contacted them recently, they pointed out that because the credit card transaction was with PayPal and the dispute was with the seller, they didn't have to do anything. That is technically correct going by the letter of the law (since PayPal transfer the money to your account, then on to the seller so you don't make the payment direct to the seller) it's pretty poor service.
Needless to say I don't use my Lloyds card with PayPal any more.0 -

Hi there,
I hope you might be able to help me?
I sold an PC outside of ebay on June 18th 2009 via paypal. The guy I sold the PC to said nothing to me at all, but today I received an email saying that the motherboard was now not working. He then goes on to say that he may start a chargeback with paypal.
It has been more than 45 days since his payment and I have a since shut my payapl account down after hearing to many horror stories.
Has this guy got a chance of getting this money back off me? Its £700 and i cant afford it now.....I have proof of delivery but due to selling it outside of ebay i am a little worried.
Many thanks in advance berba90 -
Has anyone tried bigwardrobe.com as an alternative to Ebay, just read its 'the new Ebay' for fashion, just wondering if anyone had used it???:T0

DAK if there is a way to see my ebay buying history back from May & June 09, as i can see it will only allow 60days as an option. Seller listed some items as private so i cant recheck the description as i wish to check some details.0

I just went looking for this link again.... allowing a single person to bid despite your seller preferences blocking them:
