I bit the bullet and signed up to WW at home. I’ve just had an email to confirm my joining pack is on its way.

I’ve decided to go WW lite whilst my pack arrives, so I will loosely follow the plan. We have quite a few events coming up over the bank holiday weekend, which involves eating out, so I’d rather start the plan after the bank holiday weekend.

I got the at home kit, as I like having the books etc.

When I say I’m doing ‘WW lite’ it means I’m not going to fully follow the plan whilst waiting for my pack to arrive.

    Hello everyone......

Hi Chanie and Bertythomas. Glad you decided to join up.

Berty I have IBS, GERD and in the past suffered from stomach ulcers. I had to go completely grain free to heal my stomach, Including rice and oatmeal.

I think you will find WW very flexible and you will be able to eat gluten free whilst on the programme without any bother at all. I have found that I can manage perfectly well without grains, there are plenty of substitutes.

Berty I don't know about you but I found most gluten free bread, biscuits etc tasted absolutely vile, I really hated the taste so I just learned to go without. :rotfl:

The other thing is most gluten free bakery products tend to be rather pricy. I found that for what you pay for gluten free products I was better off buying meat or fish.

I tend to eat a largely paleo diet with lots of vegetables, salads and fruit and just a little bit of dairy to ensure I get enough calcium. WW can accommodate gluten free eating. If you look at the Freefood list you will see that there are lots of things - I believe over 200 - which will fit round a gluten free diet.

You can eat as much breast of chicken, turkey breast, plain fish etc as you want. Most average portions of meat won't cost you many points. Smoked fish such as smoked haddock etc is also very low in points.

Well I have had a great day, my friend popped round and we had a nice natter in the sunshine. She said you can really see now that I've lost weight.

I tried on some jeans and trousers this morning and discovered that I can now fit into several pairs that I couldn't get into Last year.

It's like having a whole new wardrobe. :D

    Onwards and downwards.......

Hello new members, nice to meet you all.

2 lbs off!! Absolutely delighted with that, 4 lbs in two weeks and my goodness you can tell! I have really upped the ante re working out and I feel longer and leaner, posture has improved no end.

So happy I decided to join WW and this thread, it really has kept me on track.

I haven't had any chocolate at al this week, however this may change over the weekend, but even if I only manage to lose one pound next week I can live with that.

I still could do better, I know I could, not that I need to lose more than I am at this rate, but my food choices could be better and as I am paying to be on this plan I should use all the info available - I WILL get my head round this app - I will!!

I am wearing the size 14 jeans that I bought earlier this year that I couldn't even fasten - instead of taking them back and swapping for a 16 I resolved to lose the weight, and they fit comfortably - which is more than can be said of all my other trousers which are so loose they are falling down!

Now, where did I leave that belt?..................

Well done, Dorothy. :T:T. That's a cracking start.

Isn't it great to feel your clothes hanging off you and being able to get into smaller ones.

I've had to get rid of two pairs of leggings and two dresses now as they were too big.:)

I need to replace the black slip dress with the correct size as that was handy to wear under things.

Good luck Candy......let us know how you get on with your weigh in.

Wednesday.........isn't it fab when we get to get rid of clothes that are TOO BIG. :D

Well looks like we are in for a glorious weekend. I'm having at an home day today, aiming to mow the lawn and tackle some of the weeds.

I have got the washing machine on for all my winter knitwear. I going to have another wardrobe tidy and sort out what can now go to the charity shop. Wahoo.

I am being wined and dined a couple of times over the holiday weekend. I have saved up my weekly points so hopefully I should be ok. Fortunately although I do love chocolate I don't binge eat it. I am quite happy with just one of two pieces to enjoy and savour.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter. If you do overindulge then, well it's only a couple of days. :rotfl:
