No I was confident he knew of the matter and his manner was both apologetic and fluent.Looking at the differences between the two receipts, I wonder if the person selling the items has to manually code the offer and just didn't do it properly.
I think bagand96 floated the most plausible explanation. My coffee and KitKat was back to €4.50 today. I guess today's receipt* showing a Summer 2019 discount may be available overnight.
As passengers, one trusts them to get all their onboard systems updated on time - not this time though. Hopefully their onboard retail POS systems don't feed data to anything more critical than their ground-based bottom lines, eh?
