Morning all. Hope you're all ok, some very busy posts here.
My 700 plants didn't all go out in one day. I bought the plug plants in an MSE offer last autumn and they've been potted up and growing nicely in the greenhouse all winter. Only cost about £20 so I think I may have saved myself about £200 and the garden is absolutely full of colour now.
Today started with a text message from DH that he hit a bird on way to work. Checked it wasn't an April fool and then sorted out replacement windscreen fitting for tomorrow.
Have sorted some paperwork and got chilli out of freezer for dinner tonight after paid stuff.
Right, I'd better wash the breakfast dishes then get dressed.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
WM reloaded again and SC on with bolognese for later in the week. Looking at a recipe for leek and tomato eggy bread bake which I fancy trying tonight as I have stale baguette left from the weekend. Will pick up leeks when I g to get my hair cut.
Off to sort something.0 -
Washing on line. Croissants scoffed for breakfast because (a) they were free and (b) I need space in the freezer for goodies for Easter.

Will read last week's Fred and up to here after I've been out for lunch, but thank you all for your lovely comments about Debby. We need a new name for her; I don't call my animals human names.
Running a hot vinegar wash through the DW; it was overloaded with stuff that was greasy yesterday. Yuk.
Reset the clocks on the oven and microwave, so I've no realised I'vegot an hour less than I thought to play with.

Most of mine have had human names.. I did have a Speckle though.. and Pi (he is round!). I would change Debby to Winnie.. like Winnie Sanderson from Hocus Pocus.. (Bette Midler) with her glorious red hair!
Took me 2.5 hours to get the heating to fire up this morning.. I am blooming freezing and not happy... Then decided today was a good day to tackle the idiot ISP.. I was royally fobbed off... NOT impressed.. and still cold but now I have a headache to go with it!
BG engineer supposed to be coming today though they just didn't turn up on Friday so I'm not expecting miracles.
As a result I have achieved nothing at all! OH away to work, girls all at school.
Next job.. ring the ISP clowns and see if they can fix this terrible connection.. it's actually not too awful right now. I might have just decided I am hungry too.. and I need to sort this front room because DD1 is bringing the smalls this afternoon..
oops.. forgot to post a letter.. best do that first.. delegated to Boog as he is going out anyway.
Right.. todays must-do's..

I had an early finish from work as I had to collect DD and take her for an appointment. DH has been at home all day so 2 loads of washing have been done and dried in the line. The plasterer is still banging away upstairs but I guess that he’ll be heading off soon. I’m trying to muster some enthusiasm to get on and do something useful.
Ooohhh I did sort out a cupboard in the utility room when I got home. But yet again I have tidied but not actually managed to get anything else in it. I did locate 3 bags of red lentils so DH will be over the moon at upcoming menu choices:D0
