Old Style Weight Loss 2019 Part 2

Hi all,
Very late check in for me, I missed my Friday weigh in but I did weigh Saturday. I have to report +1lb this week.I dread to think what it will be tomorrow, I've had 4 days of being completely off the wagon.
K9zz I have the noom app. I find it a little irritating as it's very American and the writing style is not up my street. I do think that it's helped me a lot though. You get a food and exercise logging facility, which is OK but many UK foods aren't on there, a support group and recipes but the bit I like is the psychology and the tools to deal with things like food triggers, thought distortions, emotional eating, etc. It cost me £80 for 6 months, cheaper than a slimming club and it seems to be geared towards losing weight as part of a real emotional and psychological change, instead of just losing weight to regain it again because we haven't dealt with all the emotional crap that got us here in the first place.:j
Hope that helps. Do the free trial and see what you think.

Morning all. I hope you had a great bank holiday weekend.
We have been pretty much non-stop. Got 2 runs in which was great (aside from getting soaked yesterday!).
Lots of work in the garden. more decorating and cuiding our furniture for the study, which is coming together nicely and starting to look fab.
Pretty good food wise over the long weekend although I have had a few treat glasses of wine. Unfortunately +1lb for me this week. I was hopeful of loss but happy that overall I'm still making good progress.0 -
I'm a day late with my weigh in thanks to the bank holiday and I really have no idea how but I've managed a -1lb loss.
I'd been pretty good during the week but drank a ridiculous amount over the weekend and then had hungover munchies and ate vast quantities of cake, crisps and pizza...
Oh well, I'll do my best to be good this week as we're off on holiday next week and I'd like to have some clothes that fit.
Best of luck for the week ahead everyone.0 -
Evening All
Its pouring with rain here and not very inspiring. I did manage a walk this afternoon and the sun came out though which was lovely. DS is away so I had to go feed his cats and decided to make a big loop, ending up walking three and a half miles. I also had Pilates this morning but haven't done much else apart from cooking and reading.
Lunch: Poached eggs on homemade sourdough. Raspberry cheesecake without a base.
Dinner: Cod with jacket potato and broccoli. Blueberries with Greek yoghurt.
I've an early start tomorrow. We're having some building work done at work and as DS is away I have to be there for 7.30am to let the builders in. I shall combine it with walking up to feed his cats and going for an early morning swim.
Hope you are all having a good week.

I went up shopping in town today with DS and DD, and walked 12.5k steps. I'm absolutely delighted as I average about 6.5k steps a day usually. We did all come home and fall asleep after though!0

Morning All
I am so happy after 2 weeks of sts, I have a loss of -2lb
It is a little strange though as I weighed myself yesterday morning as I had a dr appointment and I wanted to see how accurate my scales where compared to the ones at the dr and I had no loss, so I was prepared for another sts, but I'll take that loss happily.
I'm off this week with the kids for half term, but they don't seem to want to do much, I'm happy enough pottering around the house and catching up on housework. Finished my c25k last week, did go for a run (or shuffle) yesterday am going to try to run twice a week and then do one hiit work out (from utube) a week.
Not sure on meals today I shall see what's in the freezer and work from there.

Yay, well done :T:T
I'm half way through week 7 and it's taken me a really long time to get here (I was stuck on W5R3 for about 3 weeks...) so I'm very impressed that you've completed it.
I'm reeeally slow there's an older guy who walks and overtakes me on my route sometimes :rotfl: but I've shocked myself, never in a million years did I think I would be able to jog for 30 minutes non stop. Now I need to keep going, I'm going to work on speeding up now so that I'm jogging faster and thus further. But it's hard to stay focus. I'm sure you'll do it, week 5 was tough especially the last run, was a huge jump , the increments are less severe I think after that. Good luck x'You have brains in your head. Evening Everyone and well done those who have reported losses.
Well, I had my early start letting in builders at work etc. By the time I got to the swimming pool at 8.15 I'd already walked nearly ten thousand steps. I've since added to them as I played tennis this afternoon and then had another walk up to work.
DS is back from his overnight stay but he and the family are off again tomorrow. I shall have DGD till about two and was thinking I'd have tennis but it looks like it will be called off.
Lunch: Scrambled eggs
Dinner: Chicken thigh cooked in air fryer with half a small jacket potato, green beans and broccoli in a cheese sauce.
Treat: Small bar of dark chocolate.
I bought myself a new mattress topper today in the hope that it will improve my sleep. We bought a new mattress last summer and although its not completely memory foam it has about 2 inches of it at the top. DH loves it but I just can't keep cool enough in it and my sleep is suffering. So today I bit the bullet and ordered a topper that is supposed to help keep you cool. I just hope it works. It's due to be delivered tomorrow so heres hoping I shall get a good night sleep from tomorrow.
