    Evening all

I hope all those who have been visited by the black dog are feeling a little better today and aren't beating yourself up too much :)

Can you record me with a loss of - 1.5lb please Cranky :)

This week has been quite good for me other than a bad day Sunday where I should have found myself something useful to do other than walking back and forth to the kitchen all afternoon and evening :o. It was really difficult to get my eating back on track Monday and I was really glad today that I ignored those little voices calling from the biscuit tin. Work has been really busy and I'm desperately trying to avoid my usual food patterns when I'm stressed. I've eaten a lot of fish and vegetarian meals this week which works well for me but as I have a full freezer I'm back on the meat tomorrow and Friday to try and clear a space

B - overnight oats with banana, blueberries, plum
L - smoked mackerel and watercress salad
D - small cheese and tomato pizza with added veggie toppings
S - 1 ginger nut biscuit and grapes

Sorry about all the black dog days for those suffering.

I also read about it taking 3 weeks to break bad habits and would agree 100% with this. Not sure if it is the lighter evenings or the fact I can walk up a hill without catching my breath or stopping now I have lost some weight but I seem to be on an even keel for now. Hope that does not jinx me now.

I did a 5 mile hike yesterday with my walking group and a pilates class today. Tomorrow if the weather is nice I am going to do a local walk around our countryside here which I think is about another 4-5 miles then a further exercise class on Friday morning. The exercise is going well and I feel more energised for now. I have stopped recording all my meals on nutracheck this week as we are eating out lots but am sticking to low fat, low sugar, minimal carbs, high protein and lots of fruit, veg and salad. No snacks unless fruit. If I gain weight I think I will have to go back to recording every morsel which crosses my lips but is so so time consuming.

I'm in the gain club too this week with +3lb

So annoyed, think I'm heavier than when the challenge started, can't seem to hold on to any type of will power and I don't even know why.

Only plus for me (kind of) is back to my c25k week 6 run 2 really struggled and jogged so slow I could have walked it faster but still happy with that.

Sorry to wreck your lovely chart cranky

A quick post before DGD arrives. It's my babysitting night and she stays all night whilst her parents work and then I take her to school in the morning.

I've been weighing myself every day and the pounds aren't dropping at the moment which is very frustrating. However, what is great is that I had a grand trying on session of all my nice dresses trying to see what suits me and what fits and I was really pleased that all the ones I thought would be too tight all fit and some looked really nice. Some would look even better if I lost a few more pounds but having seen the scales I was fully expecting none to fit!!

I had a lovely early morning walk, part of which was through the woods. I saw rabbits, deer, squirrels and across the fields swans on the lake. It was a wonderful way to start the day. I then played tennis and the weather remained good, though it rained after lunch. I still managed another walk in between showers though and persuaded DH to come out with me and vote.

I ordered loads of books from the library which arrived today, all to do with trying to boost metabolism and get off a weight loss plateau so I am hoping I might garner a few ideas and jump start the losses again.

Lunch: Scrambled eggs with avocado, fresh spinach leaves from the garden, cherry tomatoes and cucumber.
Dinner: Chicken breast pieces in a creamy chilli sauce with mushrooms, red pepper, sweet potato wedges and petit pois.
Treats: 4 squares of dark chocolate - twice!!

Right, ready for DGD to arrive. I've already done 23,000 steps today. No doubt I shall add a few more running round with her.

My weekend away has caught up with me - +1lb, it could have been so much worse. I need to get head straight and get back to basics.

    Hi all,

I'm sorry to hear that some of you have been struggling with the Black dog. It's so hard to do anything when you're feeling that way so well done for dusting yourselves off and coming back to check in. big hugs to you all.

So weigh in today was -2lb. I'm pleased as punch with that as I've been sticking with my calorie limit. Need to get back to exercising more now. Did a run with my friend this morning, we spurred each other on and did 2 10 minute runs with a 2 minute walk in between. I feel good now, and I needed it as I was fairly down last night and this morning.

Keep up all the good work guys.

    Afternoon All

Well done all those who have lost weight. I have to report a STS for this week again I'm afraid. Hopefully it will mean a loss again next week.

I've just remembered I have to go to work for an hour this evening just to cover a busy spot. Good job I remembered as I hadn't given it a though earlier.

I had DGD overnight last night and walked her to school this morning, then went to Yoga. It's been horrid weather and I was very low on steps for the day so decided to walk up to her house with her teddybear this afternoon. Once I'd got there the rain had stopped completely so I made it into a 2 mile loop instead of a short there and back and so have achieved my step target. Walking to work and back will therefore be an added bonus.

Lunch: Cauliflower cheese on a bed of onion, ham and mushroom.
Dinner: Pork steaks with peas, red pepper and a sweet potato and carrot rosti.
Treats: Half a small bar of dark chocolate.

The end of a difficult week for me I’m afraid . I’ve been unwell and eaten too many liquorice all sorts!
Feeling cross with myself as the result is +1.5lbs
Back on it again from yesterday after fleetingly feeling like giving up but then realising that would be defeatist .So here’s hoping for a better week .
Well done to the losers and for those who were not too successful hopes for a better week.
