Anything wrong with this house?

It seems to be in a reasonably decent area and nicely decorated. Am I missing something perhaps? Its already been reduced - I think it was originally on for £120k.

God you northerners have it so good with housing!!!!
You’d literally get a garage or maybe a mobile home for that in Surrey.0 -
Put me off - parking, looking at streetview, narrow street means can not park opposite another car on the other side and involves parking on kerbs or all of it as the van in streetview shows.0

Undeniably true, but some comparably priced houses have only pedestrian access, so this is just one of the compromises which affects those buying in this area/price range.Put me off - parking, looking at streetview, narrow street means can not park opposite another car on the other side and involves parking on kerbs or all of it as the van in streetview shows.0 -
It’s amazing how many people miss off important photos. Before reading these comments I saw no picture of garden so immediately thought there either isn’t one or there is something wrong with it. Sure enough.
That garden would put a lot of people off, me it would be a dealbreaker especially as it looks ugly, potentially dangerous and it takes up part of the already small garden.
This wouldn’t be for me even if the rest of the house was perfect.0 -
Just shows always be suspicious of missing photos, The garden is easy to fix by putting a retaining wall and leveling off, with a small patio over it.0

That "water feature" would worry me.
What is it? and WHY is is built up high, not just an access chamber level with the ground? It makes me worried it might be prone to high levels of water? perhaps it is a storm drain and if the hatch was level with the ground water would come out?
If you buy a nearby one, you might still have the same pipe under your garden, just not the hatch.
P.S my Wife is from the area and she says Low Fell is "not the best area" (I think she is trying to be policically correct in phrasing that)0 -

My thoughts exactly. A garden is something to be showed off unless there is something wrong with it. I could see part of the garden through the kitchen window and it looked reasonable so I found the lack of photo strange.0 -

Really? I've lived in Gateshead for 17 years and Low Fell is one of the nicest parts of Gateshead.0 -

I'd struggle to get a driveway for my budget in that postcode though. Pretty much every house in my budget in the NE9 postcode is on-street parking. I definitely need a garden though so will have to compromise on the parking sadly.
Any house in NE9 that does have a drive is either a total dump or in the worst part of that postcode.0
