My sony xz premium takes o2 and giffgaf sims and works. If I put an ee sim in it comes up with enter the unlock code. I rang o2 and thdy said it was not an o2 phone. What do I do how else can I find out which network it is locked to?
Well GiffGaff runs on on O2, get a Three or Voda sim.
Did you buy it brand new, second hand ?0 -
Is there a reason you need to know which network it's locked to? You could just get it unlocked, no? As far as I understood it, phones that are locked will only work on the network they are locked to so I'm confused as to how a non 02 phone could work on 02. But if you want to use EE in it, getting it unlocked should solve that problem.0

Looking at your post history I can see that you've been on Tesco previously (who use the O2 network), if you bought the phone from them, you need to ask them to unlock it as long as you've had it for 12 months or more.

From this thread you can see that the OP enquired about Tesco Mobile's price cap feature. Whilst it's certainly possible that the OP either was already on or subsequently subscribed to Tesco Mobile, it's not a given from the posts.0 -
No you can't.

True enough, of course there's a very limited number of companies that it could be on O2. We know it's not O2 so that leaves Giffgaff (mentioned so maybe top of the list), Lycamobile, Sky Mobile and Tesco Mobile (also mentioned so at least 2nd on the list).
There may be others that have swapped carriers at some point.0 -
