Parking ticket on uni campus now with Debt collectors

At the end of December I got a parking ticket from First Parking LLP for parking outside the doctors on my university campus for 40 minutes out of term time. I didn't pay it and ignored the follow up letters wishfully hoping it would just go away. I've now received a letter threatening litigation from National Debt Collectors Ltd, who wrote all sorts of scary stuff like my ability to obtain credit being under threat, and bailiffs coming over to get the money back. The balance owed is now £130 which is insane for parking in a bay for 40 minutes in an empty car park (as majority of uni students had gone home for Christmas). Any suggestions on what I can do from here? Obviously Id rather not pay. The letters keep going to my dads house which hes not enjoying opening on my behalf.. Thanks for any help in advance!!

You seem to have completely missed NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.
Please read it first.I've now received a letter threatening litigation from National Debt Collectors Ltd, who wrote all sorts of scary stuff like my ability to obtain credit being under threat, and bailiffs coming over to get the money back.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Id like to share the letter but it isn't allowing me to insert an image link as I have a new account. Anyway around this?0

Post it to somewhere like postimage, dropbox, tinypic, (try to avoid things like Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive as I think they require registrations and logins for the other people you share the link with) get the link and paste it as normal (plain) text and change the "http" to "hxxp" - one of us regulars can then repost it with the link restored.0

Complain to your MP.
On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.
Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

I imagine you have not contacted them yet and told them about who the driver was. As adviced, read the newbies thread but see the following text from there and see if the date that is on the NTK is within the time periods specified. Was it a windscreen or ANPR PCN?
"If the NTK arrives late, this does not make the PCN 'void' but it means there is 'no keeper liability' possible.
If they are a firm which alleges 'keeper liability' under the POFA 2012 (which they don't have to!) the a postal PCN must arrive by day 14 if there was no windscreen ticket.
Or, the NTK must arrive with you between day 29 and day 57 if there was a windscreen PCN. "0 -
Is the University in England & Wales - or in NIreland - or Scotland?1
-
It was a windscreen PCN and its University in England. I don't believe they sent me the NTK late however I'll try and find it when I get home0

Edit: removed link
replace the xx's with t's
This is the last letter I received. I'm quite close to the 14 day deadline they're giving, not that I believe it0 -
And you shouldn't believe THEIR deadlines, they mean nothing!
The only thing you don't ignore is a genuine LBA/LBCCC.1
