Negative influencer

This is subject to the company.
I called Experian and the first step is for me to contact Virgin.
I think that is what everyone has been saying all along.
Experian will only reflect what the are factually informed about by Virgin (or any other lender).
So if you contact Virgin and pay them, they will inform Experian of this fact.0 -

I love my job0 -
I'm interested in complaining to OFCOM (initially anyway, all I wish to do at this point is
CONTACT EXPERIAN AND GET THEM TO ASK VIRGIN IF THEY WILL ACCEPT A PAYMENT FROM ME TO REVERSE MY NEGATIVE CREDIT SCORE!
Well what your actually wanting to do is improve your credit history, your rating is only seen by you.0 -
So you are saying that would put a major life decision like marriage or in my moving house on hold until a contact ends.
A Virgin contract doesn't say you can't move hourse until the contract expires, it just says you have to pay for their services until the contract expires. It's two completely different things.0 -
Although a Virgin contract would normally expire shortly after marriage, if not before...0

Obviously not, he was able to move to where he wanted.
They also didn't force him to sign up for a service that said you had to pay the remainder of the service if you chose to move away.
He could probably have negotiated a lower amount, if he hadn't blocked their phone numbers and emails.0 -
I moved house in October 2016. At the time Virgin were supplying me my broadband, tv and phone. The area I was moving too, they couldn't supply me but they still wanted me to pay the remainder of my contract (2 months for basically not providing a service). I refused as I felt I was paying them for nothing (which I was) and I blocked all their numbers, emails etc. They have recorded this as me defaulting and not paying them.
While you weren't receiving a service. The flat monthly contract charge is most likely backloaded in profit terms for Virgin. The equipment and set up/installation costs need to be paid for. While a review is most welcome. Companies will simply adjust their pricing structure accordingly. Possibly resulting in higher overall charges to the consumer or an upfront higher initial cost to compensate for a loss of income. Consumer always pays. There's no such thing as a free lunch.0 -
So you are saying that would put a major life decision like marriage or in my moving house on hold until a contact ends. Well that's unusual in my opinion but that's up to you.
You don't have to put those things on hold but if you exit a contract early there is a penalty. That is common with lots of things. Early redemption charges on mortgages, exit fees on energy deals or phone deals and utility companies like Virgin media.
I would clear it. Update to this..............
Experian managed to speak to Virgin and now I have a score of 918 so I'm pleased.
I still have negative influencers as I have applied for 6 credit accounts in the last 6 months in March 2019 and also I've opened two credit account sin the last 6 months.
If I apply for a loan/credit card now will I still get refused?0 -

Who knows, since your score isn't a factor used in lending and the "negative influences" are just there for score improvement (read - marketing to sell you unnecessary products).
Do you actually need to be applying for all these loans/accounts/cards?0
