Pigpen, every single job completed is a triumph, IMHO ;) - not that I've done more than the basics this week.

Pleased to say that my black eyes have subsided. I now have the Dracula-with-a-five-o'clock-shadow look.

Today I have achieved little except
    - sorted out payment for the man who has cleaned our roof and block paving (he made a very good job of it)
    - added to the pile of financial paperwork on my desk
    - read the paper (I don't usually have time for this)
    - decluttered zzz after lunch
    - took Rosie for her walk
    - phoned a friend
    - cooked tea
    - sent a long-overdue email

I think I'll just give up for today and go and watch Gardener's World and Masterchef...

Sorry not been in all week, hope everyone is well.
Learned how to put a grass box on a mower this week that was the actual hardest part of mowing the lawn for me. Need to lug the mower round mils at some point as DH always did his mums lawn as well.
Still muddling through paperwork and just generally trying to keep going.
I did clear the ironing pile, but have a load more washing out so will have more to keep me busy later. Got mine and mils shopping to do this morning, then need to find paperwork for ds2 hospital appt next week re more stroke tests.

Have a good weekend and don't forget clocks go forward tonight xx

Well work was so full on this week that I fell asleep, sitting up, in front of master chef. Woke up in time to see who won but with no clue as to what was cooked and by whom. Went to bed. How rock and roll is my life!
And really need to go into work over the weekend to finish clearing up and to get some marking done.

  • Morning All.

It's a lovely morning here. I have emptied and restacked DW, put a load in the WM which is swishing away and made a cuppa. I'm afraid my flying this week has been less than impressive, so a bit of catching up to do this weekend. Work was busy, busy, during which had a couple of days keeping a bad hormonal headache at bay which affects my eyesight randomly and definitely gives me brain fog! Anyway, got to that finish line and can now start on the house :rotfl:.

I did manage to sort some flowers and a card out for my Mum and meet her during my lunch break on Thursday for coffee as she is away this weekend. Also, my Asda shop is sorted for delivery this evening instead of tomorrow morning (thought I might try and have tomorrow off, it being Mother's Day and all, hahaha). Goodness knows what will arrive, I was so tired ordering it last night!

Right breakfast and another cuppa, washed and dressed, and an hour's good tidy I think. Thanks Mrs Moneypenny for the reminder re: clocks going forward.

    Good morning
Awake at work time this morning -of course. I didn’t watch Masterchef last night as DH was adamant that he was coming home earlier to watch with me. I waited... waited some more ... went to bed... and am now avoiding all news so that I can watch it later. Should have just watched it alone last night.

The first load of washing is on the line and the second is whirring round. I am doing HHI now so that the pile doesn’t look at me disappointedly later when I would rather be in the garden.

It’s the usual taxiing DD to the stables later then hopefully back to do a bit of gardening. The utility room is an absolute tip that needs sorting but I will just have to shut the door for now. It shows in the house that I have not been around much this week. Next week is no better either

    ((Hugs)) Mrs MP x.
  • The children are gone so the tidying has been done!

All washing up done and put away, bedding changed as I'm fairly sure it had been sat in OHs cupboard for ages and smelt quite musty so freshly lovely-smelling set on today

Wiped down kitchen and bathroom, one load of washing in and one more to do and that is everything!

Makes a change to not be wasting my entire weekend cleaning and washing - I like it :o

    Enjoy your 'free' weekend SSDD23; that's why we're all here...because it's a chore we'd rather not do.

Hugs Mrs MP and well done on the lawnmower fitting. I cut mine last week so it now looks like a miniature hay meadow with piles of grass going brown because the mower didn't pick it all up. Second cut this year!

Going to give the kitchen a clean then head to work when the next loads washed...or I know I'll never go in.
