Hello all. Thanks for the list.
LR dusted, dailies done, craft club attended, bedding changed, WM been whirring all day and lots of gardening and seed planting done.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Before I left this morning I whizzed round like a woman possessed - HHI done, bins emptied, bathrooms given a s&s. It felt like more, but better than nothing.
This evening I have run the towels through the wm, run dw on rinse, WULTD other bits, wiped all surfaces, cleaned the kitchen sink and swept the kitchen floor. Cba to tackle the paperwork mountain but helped by the fact that DH has hogged the laptop. I have answered 2 emails that have been hanging around for a while though, so 2 things off my list.
Tomorrow should be flying day, but I need to go into job 2 for a couple of hours, plus I am sure that the allotment will be calling me.0 -
Good morning all
LR dusted and sticky marks removed. Wm on and about to see if I can whizz through the bathrooms.
Thank you to whoever replaced my grumpy I Hate Mornings DD with a smiling one that was almost human before she left for school.0 -
Morning all
Good start to the day here. Living room, stairs and landing vacuumed. Dirty clothes off the floor and in laundry, WM on. Load that dried overnight sorted and put away (mainly socks and underwear). Kitchen cleared and DW on. Table hasn't been clear for a while now so pleased to see it looking good again.
Next task is put chicken in SC with something for dinner tonight, assuming chicken is still ok as a few days past its date but I'll smell it when I open it. I'm sure it'll be fine once its's well cooked.
See you later0 -
Kudos to Mademoiselle and Fayolle for a productive day already! I'm back in bed with a coffee! I've run the DW and WM and had a previously-washed load so I'll peg them out.
Need to clean kitchen and bathroom. Could also do with stripping DS's bed too. I'm working all week after today.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all - I'm back
Unfortunately I have brought home an unwanted memento - a badly broken nose. I was crossing a road, tripped and landed flat on my face. Just like that. Crunch. Got taken by ambulance to A&E, where some wonderful NHS staff scanned me and patched me up, and I made my own way back to my daughter's, but it meant that we had to cancel a long-anticipated visit which was the original reason for going there. I am now doing a very bad impersonation of a panda crossed with Dracula, with 2 lovely black eyes and the bruises draining down to my jaw! Amazingly, the rest of me is OK. I didn't even break my glasses. I have to go to ENT at our local hospital next week.
The house was cleaned thoroughly before we went away, so today I just have a bit of washing to finish and hang up to air. I am taking things easy - honest! And I must collect Rosie from kennels this afternoon (driving is not a problem).
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx0 -
Wow Ionafan. Gentle hugs for a full recovery.
Two loads of washing out. Duvet cover etc swishing now.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Glad to have found this thread! I was getting tired of wasting entire Saturdays catching up on housework!
Wiped down the surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom yesterday as they're the ones that I spend most of my time tackling, a wash was put on before I left to work with the delay timer set so that it finished as I walked in the door, and straight onto the radiators to dry. Bins put out as they were mostly full, rather than rushing round on bin day morning. WUALTD straight after dinner and put away this morning, so will be coming home to a tidy house!
Another wipe down and vacuum to be done this evening whilst dinner is cooking0 -
Lunchtime here now.
Shower tap has been replaced. Forgot he would have to turn water off so not been able to catch up with washing but I have cleared all the ironing and there were loads of shirts so happy to be back on top of that. Chicken curry put in SC, the recipe included lentils and ground almonds so I hope it won't be stuck to the bottom when I get in tonight. It's on high now to get going but I'll check on it just before I go out and add more liquid if I think it looks dry.
Also tackled an admin job that has been hanging around for too long and was becoming a frog, hopefully I should be able to get it sorted soon.
Cup of coffee next and put another load in WM.0
