Overcharged by plumber. What can I do?

How is it relevant how long it took to do the job to come to the price they are asking for I think that’s very relevant !0

3 plumbers. 1 to midiagnose the problem. 1 to run the pipe and 1 to write the over inflated bill.0

Don’t think that’s how the legislation sees it. Someone might be really quick and someone might be really slow but the end result is the same. 5m of copper pipe. The question is how much does that job cost.0 -
You know what I can’t even be arsed anymore I hope they take you to court and win every penny plus interest and you pay court fees on top. Mainly for being so stupid and naive. Can’t believe people don’t ask for prices upfront you can’t just assume. And then moan like a little bit*h about it after. Clearly I’m not the only one thinking this ! All your looking for on here is sympathy and for being to agree with you because you know you’ve fu*ked up0

Yeah, I f*cked up. Maybe if you become a victim of something you will understand. And yes, you can assume a fair price as that’s what the legislation is there for. Why do we need it? Because people make mistakes and other people try to exploit that. It’s true others certainly think like you and that’s a shame and thank very much for your parting wishes (p.s. you don’t pay costs for small claims you noob 😂)0 -

Yeah, you’re definitely missing something. Just because you have a quiet day and two plumbers hanging around for 4 hours to do a quick job doesn’t mean you can overcharge for the job. The day isn’t totally wasted, we can charge this mug £600 for a quick job.
Lot of trolls on tonight :rotfl:0 -
You do pay charges for small claims if you lose haha what a noob0

How is the length of the job irrelevant ? If your paying per the hour it’s totally relevant0
