Useless Shark duo clean vacuum

Thanks for your replies. I have checked every part is clean and unblocked. I've always had dysons and they have been far superior and not spat out debris. I will be getting another as this machine is hopeless.
I'd give Shark a call and see if they can help.
I recently purchased an up-lift shark (lower model than yours I think.
Having already vacuumed my carpets with my Dyson that morning, I then tested my shark and filled the tank!!!! I was horrified as I thought my Dyson was reasonable.
The suction is so good it almost lifts the carpets!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Thanks. There are 120 critical reviews on Amazon for the corded Duo Clean with Flexology so I am not the only one having problems! Many mention spitting debris out and the roller getting clogged very easily. I will ring Shark and see what they say.0

Got to love the one where they say that it spits dirt out when they lift the vacuum off the floor. What did they expect to happen with the machine in the air like they have pictured and the brush bar spinning around freely!0 -
The negative reviews are valid grievances from many people about a vacuum that Shark claims gives a "brilliant cleaning performance". Photographs on their website show what it can cope with - spilt cereal, pet food etc. mine can't! It spits debris out as soon as I switch off and without lifting it off the floor. It is without doubt the worst vacumn I have ever owned. Perhaps a different Shark model would be better. I'd like to think so.0

Possibly so, but how many are from people that struggle to connect a hose properly? Or those that have a different vaccum?
I dont have a shark so cannot comment, although it wont stop some leaving feedback.
I gave up with online reviews and buyers comments when buying a kettle and an iron. Reviews said they were really light, but also really heavy. The cord was too short, but the cord was also a bit long.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
It won't work at least if the hose is not connected correctly. I read a large number of the critical reviews looking for specific mention of the issues I'm experiencing. There were lots.0

TBH, I don't see the point of these corded, stick vacuums. If you want the power of a corded machine then get a proper upright, if you want a stick model then get the cordless. There are negative reviews from "owners" expecting the full on power, cleaning ability and capacity from an upright when clearly this is never going to be the case with these lower capacity, stick type models.0 -
Yes. Of course the negative reviews I refer to are for the model I have!
Corded stick vacuums are useful for a property like mine with a large floor area. I borrowed my son's cordless Dyson prior to choosing the one to see what it was like but the battery ran down before getting round the whole house. Not many cordless ones come with a spare battery.
I am no spring chicken and was beginning to find the conventional upright Dyson I had too heavy and cumbersome. This Shark claims a "brilliant cleaning performance" which implies a powerful capacity. James Dyson has stopped making corded ones altogether which I don't think would have happened if cordless ones are all inferior to corded uprights.
The whole point of buying this Shark model was to save time and effort but because it's so inadequate it takes twice as long to vacuum.0 -
I have been given a refund by Curry's. Apparently I am not alone in my opinion of this vacuum as plenty of others have returned this model.0

Mine did the same - & i though what a load of crock was gonna throw it .. Well I phoned Shark and there are 3 filters .. I only thought it had 2... on the top dust cap there is a black cone shape with holes .. take it off and there is a filter that will be full of DUST .. I then had to unblock the hose again and its back to working great .... hope this works 4 u ..1
