It's a car park. The clue is in the name. I would also be cross. What does your son think of this? Wouldn't he rather go to a park?

He just loves football bless him, I take him to the park but not that skilled at football ….

Anyway, OP - what did you decide to do about it all?

    I hope you are OK.

This must be very worrying for you (despite all of the above talking about the rights and wrongs) it must be a difficult situation for you

Have you managed to speak to your OH/ get him see sense?

I appreciate your kind words... yes its a horrible situation to be in and frankly I just want to move to somewhere with a garden but we are still saving. Husband says he wont drag others into this so if he and this lady want to argue, they can. He is going to the Mgt company Monday and Im sure they will tell him buzz off . They might sort parking and paint disable signs and visitor signs.

Not a sign?! Omg what will happen next...
Well assuming the 'official' sign was put up by the management company rather than by one of the residents themselves then it indicates the management company are taking the issue seriously... perhaps they are concerned about thoughtless people kicking footballs around where they shouldn't be and causing damage to the property they (the management Co) are responsible for?

And if the management company are taking the issue seriously then it suggests the OP has slightly stronger grounds to be concerned than otherwise.

It still doesn't change the fact that other residents parking in certain parking spaces is irrelevant to the OP's issue.

The important thing is for the adults to realise they are adults and start behaving that way. All of them.

I suspect they might as you and your husband don't have a relationship with them They will deal with the LL. If your husband is serious about this then the way forward would be to raise the issues with the LL and ask them to bring it to the attention of the ManCo. Of course that has it's own dangers as your LL may well have been consulted about the signs and was happy to see them erected. And will want a quiet life with the ManCo and other owners.

As for the other issues - parking and pets as others have said it is possible that there is agreement to this - does your husband know for certain that this hasn't happened.

As EachPenny indicates this is land (the car park) not owned by you - it's not clear if the freehold of the estate is owned by the property owners or another freeholder but that makes little difference. It is someone else's.

And I also agree with everything else EachPenny has said on this thread. Your husband really needs to leave this and play football with your son elsewhere.
  • I bet the management company are quaking in their boots :). This guy is just shouting himself in the foot. What a ridiculous situation.

He is going to see the mgt company who oversee the complex on Monday to complain of the following

Two other flats have pets (not allowed)
Two residents park in the disabled and visitor car spot permanently

So he is going to complain that two residents are constantly parked in the disabled and visitor spaces yet the car park is completely empty when he plays football :rotfl:

I think he needs to get his story straight before he even thinks about making any complaints.

Just read this out to my OH and he claims he only now plays 3:30pm to 4:30pm when there are absolute no cars around, usually the cars are back around 6 ish

I can't believe a grown man would try to make people give up their pets out of spite over something HE is doing wrong

Sorry, but what a selfish pr....

I would not ever be with a man like that. Deeply unattractive! Perhaps I'm less tolerant than others...

    - well technically they are wrong too. Two wrongs don't make a right; just glass houses and stones

It depends; it sounds like everyone is behaving badly. But some have taken it further than others
