Carry on playing football and ignore the neighbours.

Its C2C and gates so they maintain cleaning and gardens etc, each house has 2 duplex upstairs and 2 single flats downstairs

The back of each house has grass garden so I guess a far better option BUT the garden backs onto the single ladies living there and who needs someone right outside your kitchen/bedroom playing football is my thinking.

She is quite rude, she had work done which then leaked into our bathroom, OH tried to tell her and she shouted "not my problem" and that was before the fall out over football !!!

Love the foxtrot Oscar, not heard that before, made me smile

Actually yes, that's what I figured and why would a landlord want the headache. The tenancy renewals is going ahead with an increase in rent but nothing to stop him then giving us 60 days notice to leave even when we renew

Yes there is something to stop him doing that. It wouldn't be valid...

It's a car park, for cars. No car park is EVER a suitable place for anybody to be playing football, or cycling, or skating, or hoverboarding. People don't expect people to have the cheek to play football in a car park.

I'd go mental if I saw somebody having the sheer arrogance to assume they can play football in a car park ... around people's parked cars. So disrespectful it's unbelievable.

It's a nuisance, a noise nuisance and annoying.

It's simply not on. Stop it.

I think people are losing track of the fact that the OP wants him to stop doing it! Telling her to stop it isn’t really much help to her.

So he's already made enemies of several of your neighbours by playing football in the carpark and now he's going to alienate the rest by complaining to the management committee?
Honestly I think you need to consider moving, if he continues to be so stubborn it's going to become a very uncomfortable environment for you to live in.

It was TLDR to be honest....

I'd confiscate his ball if I had the power to do that.... and she is the only one that has the power to "make" him stop.

If he tried to wrestle the ball off me I'd have a right go and call him a selfish kn0b... then cry. Crying always works.

    :D

The OP says 'aside from divorce' but I think she shouldn’t be ruling it out!
  • OP you know your husband is being a child

I think you firmly need to put your foot down with him and tell him he is putting his whole family at risk of homeless by trying to prove some petty point

How can you live with such a petty man!

I wouldn't want a child kicking footballs near my car - it cost me thousands and I worked hard for it - I would be telling them to move away too.

I would be thinking to myself that the parents were too lazy to bother to take the kid to the park in all honesty - it is a car park

You need to take him in hand. You know he is in the wrong here

But any damage could be claimed from the parents?

Not sure there's any risk of homelessness here

    Yes. There is.

The ManCo could complain to the landlord who may well feel it it easier to find another tenant than have the hassle of all the moaning/complaints etc.

I know on this estate complaints to the LL about tenants behaviour has resulted in new tenants arriving.

OP. I agree with the others your OH needs to grow up a bit (rather a lot).
