What’s bloody wrong with people. !!!!!!. I’m not even going to try and respond to some of the posters on here....
Op - you, your OH and your 7 year should continue to enjoy playing football wherever the f you like. I’m serious.
I’m grateful to see your OH taking the time to go out and play / do an activity with your 7yr old....relationships like that make my heart warm....it’s genunly lovely to see....
There are far too many that just want to leave their young adults to xboxes, fortnite or ipads...
I grew up, literally playing footie in car parks - and faced the same idiocy....
Put up an equally arbitrary sign saying ‘no minis’0 -
I doub't it matters when he plays. People don't want football being played near their cars. If he still plays there they don't know if it'll only be when its empty. Presumably they are paying for a parking space. Like any owner they don't want any damage to their cars and certainly not disputes about damaged caused and who will pay and how much or denial about causing damage. Does he want to be the prime suspect for any minor damage to cars regardless of how it happened?Gerrymouse wrote: »Just read this out to my OH and he claims he only now plays 3:30pm to 4:30pm when there are absolute no cars around, usually the cars are back around 6 ish0 -

Is your husband not British perhaps? Because children play football outside their house pretty much everywhere else! So much more fun than getting obese in front of the screen. Somewhat uncomfortable situation but I'd personally just leave the neighbours to get over themselves.0

Perhaps there is a great deal of truth in that....
But I dna only judge others by my standards...and I would take no issue whatsoever.... let alone complain.
The stark reality is that there is very little damage you can do playing football near cars....they kinda of bounce off them....but there you go0 -

This car park is really small there are only 3 houses. The local park would mean a much better game so I can't understand why they don't do that? The carpark is going to be too small to do more than bounce the ball about while standing watching it. It won't make much difference to the exercise. Plus the father is too idle to take the child to the local park so he isn't a good role model for exercising either.0 -

Op said they were ‘passing etc’ which I am familiar with. It’s the equivilanet of the Americanism of ‘going to play catch’ low energy moment of bonding...it least that’s how I visualised it.
Either way - kids playing in the street / car park is perfectly, perfectly acceptable to me...and I commend the adult for going out and doing something positive with a young child.0 -

There is nothing stopping the adult from being a good role model and taking the child to the local park either. Just doing it in the carpark does nothing to help the child meet other children either. If they went to the local park they could have a good game with a lot of running about and they could meet other children. This isn't kids playing in a car park it is kid playing with idle adult in a carpark. The adult can't be bothered to take the child to somewhere suitable.0 -

Yeah sorry - I see it your way now. What an utter horrible man he is....
He must fall into the worse 1% of dads in this country.....0 -
But any damage could be claimed from the parents?
Not sure there's any risk of homelessness here
If they are breaking their tenancy agreement, such as causing a nuisance to other neighbours, it could well end up in a termination.
In order to prove this ridiculous point (from the OPs husband I mean, not you) - It really is not worth the risk. With love, POSR
