Poppy it was good to 'see' you yesterday, hope the new chemo suits you better.
TA lovely to see you posting again.
Yesterday was a busy one. I cut and edged the lawn, washed and vacuumed the car, did all the usual meals etc and then for some silly reason thought it a good idea to have a walk. Boy do I ache this morning.
Not sure what we're doing today... not much
Take care allIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -

Good morning, and it's0 degrees here so a bit chilly.
Yoe've had a bad year Holly, but you've got through, I know how hard it is to be diagnosed with cancer, but again - you've got through. You've done so well.
Dumpling, hope Lee has a good weekend.
AOD, glad you're feeling better. Your medicine sounds awful!!

Morning everyone,
Hugs Holly, you have been and are still going through so much, enjoy your day x
Lovely to hear from you TA, another one who has coped with so much, thank goodness for your lovely family & friends x
Bright and frosty here today but thankfully the wind has died down, need to do a bit of cleaning first and then I’m going to school Lulu this afternoon. This evening I’m meeting up with five friends for a meal, haven’t seen them for a few months so can see a lot of catching up going on.
Have a good day folks x0 -
Happy Friday
I stuck to my word and left work at a reasonable time yesterday, which meant I was able to go to the gym, have a phone call with my gran and my ex-colleague, make my dinner, tidy up and even to chill for an hour or so.
My boiler is being replaced today, so I couldn't go to the gym this morning as I was to let the man in. He's the best friend of my landlord and I've been assured I can trust him in my house alone. I've left him with my keys and I hope to return around 6pm to a warm flat. I know, I know, something doesn't sit right with leaving my keys with a stranger, essentially. But with my landlords reassurance, confidence and trust in him, plus with a lack of other options, I have.
I've a busy day tomorrow. Including a date!! Meeting a girl in Liverpool for a few drinks at night so I'll have an update for you all on Monday morning. Don't look the hats out yet.
Holly - My goodness time that year has flown in. Lunch will be a pleasant distraction for you today. Take your time and don't overdo it.
TA - Well said. And does that mean today is your birthday? If so, happy birthday!
OL - Is he excited by the opportunity? Does he enjoy his work?0 -
No SPEKY it's not today, it's next Tuesday! I'll carry your good wishes forward!
Well Mary Poppins and Evil Maleficent left the building at 8.00 a.m. for school and a postponed World Book Day. Something else took precedence at school yesterday! Sadly young Maleficent wouldn't wear her wig - when you are 10 years old you do not do pink anymore!! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Holly, have as good a day as you can, I hope the awful memories don't cloud it too much.
TA good to see you. Yes, the last year has seen our world turned upside down. I used to say to Steve that we didn't know what would happen when he said he wanted to carry on working to build up his pension pot (his dad died just a couple of years after retiring). Now I feel a bit guilty as if I'd made Steve's cancer happen which I know is irrational.
GDB2222, welcome. The time before the colonoscopy is much worse than the procedure itself isn't it. I refused to be sedated for mine (I don't react well to most sedation) but it was fine.
OL, I hope youngest is happy about moving. Chris finds it really difficult being away in Wales Monday to Friday, he's got three months before he comes back.
We're supposed to be out at a quiz tonight but I've got a cold and we've got a couple of immuno-suppressed people (besides Steve) on the team so I shall have to say I can't go. It's a shame because the other members of the team won't go without me - I have one of those brains which takes in lots of useless trivia and is able to regurgitate on command (useful for quizzes and not a lot else).0
