I am buying stocks of toilet roll companies :D
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

There is little point hoarding too much, if there are shortages of food that mean nobody can eat for a week then society will break down and guarding a large stash of food becomes a problem. Leaving the country might be an idea but there isn't enough capacity for everyone to do that.

Having access to your own boat might help, but you'll need to protect that too. I think it's unlikely to be that bad and it's unlikely you can do anything about it if it is.

However my local aldi hasn't been able to keep fresh fruit and vegetables on the shelves at certain times recently. I certainly think it's worthwhile making sure you're not going to run out of anything that would annoy you.

It's unlikely to drive prices down, so buying things now that will keep might save you a bit of money. Just don't tell anyone or you might get stabbed for a toilet roll.

No change there then, the constant fear of a sale falling through is enough to make anyone panic. A friend had their sale fall through three times, it took years to shift that.

There is panic buying going on as well.

My bet is it’s going to be postponed

Things are going to be very very bad if it not postponed, the property bubble will pop
Nothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future

Is anybody else stocking up on food and toilet rolls?

Getting cash out of bank account in case the banks collapse?

Baracading your front door and prepared to bug in to avoid all the yellow vest protests aka Paris.......

I know there is panic selling going on in the property market, and tenants are not paying their rents and thinking they will get away with it for a long time with all the coming chaotic uncertainty

    A big fat NO :rotfl:

Clearly a joke thread. Surely this is not a serious question.

At this glacial rate probably absolutely nothing.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

As we seem to be intent on self harm, I suspect it won't be.

Things will be bad, but houses have an inherent worth because people need them to live in. I wouldn't expect more than Mark Carney's worst case 30% drop.

Something has to happen because they already triggered article 50 and passed a law to say something would happen. They may not have come to an agreement of what will happen yet, but something will. A short extension looks unlikely unless they have a plan & they don't have a plan, they don't have the resolve to just withdraw of article 50, they can't agree on the backstop and they can't change the back stop.

So at this point it's a damaging no deal or a second referendum and Mogg and his goons have already started seeding the idea that less democracy is actually more (which is what dictators do).

The usual cries of impending doom and gloom persist despite all evidence showing the UK to be doing OK I see.
What a shame you can't say the same for many of the the EU major players.

    ;)

Dream on. The simpler fact is that house prices are directly linked to the number of people needing somewhere to live. Since the UK population has increased by over 5 million in ten years & under a million homes have been built in the same timeframe it would take a huge outflow of the population to reduce the already-high demand which persists despite high prices.
So what else in the real world could reduce prices if demand is high?

I see that polls this weekend show that the public support a no deal Brexit. If MP's listen to their electorate (I know, but still ... ) ... People are fed up & want to give the EU a traditional two-fingered salute.

Ah, but there's a big problem with the bit I highlight in bold above and it appears that you're having a little difficulty understanding what a "dictator" is.
    ;)
You see, "Mogg and his goons" as you so eloquently phrase it are not in any position of power.
They cannot do anything without the backing of a majority in the HoP.
Some "dictator" that, if you need a majority to support anything you want to do.
