Is panic buying cancelled with unlimited extensions and delta uniform papa caving in.
The EU hasn't agreed an extension yet. We've been draining resources with our shenanigans, so they may just cut the cord.
I'd still make sure you aren't going to run out of things that you can easily store, that doesn't really count as panic buying. More "stocking up".0 -

I was hoping as recently mentioned to buy some home essentials to avoid panic buying, I couldn't cope with last minute rush to supermarket to grab what's left.
Interesting Bercow' intervention' today.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Hope all these 'panic hoarders' have a good supply of tinfoil. There's hats to be made afterall.
All you're doing is providing extra profit to the supermarkets and then have an excess of tin food for months on end. Whilst sane people carry on as normal.0 -

Most people have around three days worth of food, and the last of the three days they will be eating crap at the back of the cupboard
The sensible thing would be to stack a lot more tins and non perishable foods now.
If there is an extension of the uncertainty then you have more time to stack, but I expect the panic buying willl be far worse at the end of the new extension periodNothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0 -

If we go for Theresa Mays deal then there will always be uncertainty, revoking a50 is the only way to end it.
The shops will be rammed this weekend.penners324 wrote: »All you're doing is providing extra profit to the supermarkets and then have an excess of tin food for months on end. Whilst sane people carry on as normal.
As long as you only buy the food you would have bought anyway then all you're doing is buying it at a lower price. The supermarkets will make less money from the hoarders in the long term and the sane people will spend more money in the long term.
Whether the supply gets cut off or not, inflation still plays a part in pricing. Even if you run down the stash before the price increase then you haven't lost anything, but importantly the supermarket hasn't gained anything either.0 -

It’s looking like an extension so there will be no panic buyin*this week.
But at the end of the extension the panic buying and shortages, and or increased prices may be far worse at the end of May or June whenever the band aid is finally pulled off completelyNothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0 -

How do you figure that? EU are granting an extension only if mays deal gets passed and bercow won't give her permission to get it passed & it's unclear if enough MPs even want to pass it.
Meanwhile having the same deal served up to them doesn't sound like the meaningful vote MPs were promised as it's supposed to be amendable. I wonder if the government will get sued.
There are too many possibilities right now, we could leave with no deal on brexit day,we could leave with the withdrawal agreement and another two years of negotiations sometime after brexit day or our sovereign parliament takes back control and does some form of deal with the EU.
I'm thinking it's going to be damaging brexit on brexit day. I hope you have all your trades in place.0 -

I just can’t se no deal next week, my money is on an extension one way or another then we are in the same boat at the end of the periodNothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0 -
Unless something significant happens then we will leave with no deal on the 29th.
What do you think will change?
One way or another they will get some more time, you'll see.
The no deal will happen, but it will be in about 2 months time.
We are in for every hard times for the UK.
This will be the start of hard times, and will last for several years.
The good news is that hard times create hard men. And hard men create soft times. Soft times create soft men, soft men create hard times and the cycle repeats.
We have all grown up in soft times, that our grandfathers created who were hard men from hard times.Nothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0
