Unfortunately I don't have a printer. If the forms don't arrive tomorrow I will ring them to see if they can do it over the phone. I was told they were waiting to get the terms and conditions in the office and once there they could set the account up via a call

Finally I have been able to set up the account over the phone and have my current isa (with current year's contributions) transferred.

    I opened a 1.7% fixed `til 31st May 2020 yesterday about 2pm.

At around 4-30pm I rang Coventry and asked them to transfer my existing cash ISA and all the interest to the new fixed one.

All done and dusted within five minutes.

Mmmm, been wondering about the 1.7% fixed instead myself, but no one else seems to have mentioned it

Swings and roundabouts I suppose the 1.5% gives you the opportunity to move if a better deal comes up,

Because 1.5% is the top fisa.

A 1.7% isn't a top c1 year fix ISA... it's behind OakNorth, Wesleyan, Charter, Shawbrook....

If I were to transfer from Cov BS flexible ISA 1 to Cov BS flexible ISA 2, then obviously the funds in ISA 1 would transfer to ISA 2. But what about the flexible allowance? Does that get transferred too?

As an example, suppose I have £50001 in ISA 1. I withdraw £50000 leaving a balance of £1. Under the flexible rules I would be permitted to redeposit that £50000 in ISA 1 before the end of the same tax year.

Now, if I were to transfer the £1 in ISA 1 to ISA 2, would I then be permitted to deposit that £50000 to ISA 2?

I'm guessing the answer is probably no.....

So far, I've received seven separate letters from Coventry BS over a period of two days. Not got my online username yet either, so that'll be at least eight letters. What a waste of paper and money!

Also not sure why they couldn't just re-use my username/password from when I was a former customer about six months ago. Would've saved a lot of hassle and paper.

Same situation, I've set my password up and got my grid card today, but no web ID so I used the 'forgot web ID' option on the login page and got it that way. When I logged in I was presented with a picture I choose 2 years ago and the last login date was 4th Feb which is when I closed my last account with them so it must be linked in some way. Was a long process for an 'online' account.

Forgot about the grid card. That'll be nine letters then :o

My grid card arrived Day 2, and the rest of the details (including web ID) over another 4 letters which arrived Day 3. All up and running! A most curious login process, but now I know my trial £1 deposit has arrived I won't be doing it often, thankfully.
