    I applied today, successfully in that I got an account number and chose a password. However, it appears I must now await a 'welcome pack' by post for login details. Not a show-stopper, of course, but this always surprises me for an online account.

    But does it accept transfers from another isa provider?

    Just looking at info on website and yes it look like you can transfer in
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    I'm going to pass having been burned not so long ago by the Coventry BS doing a market leading ISA offer and then dropping the rate only a short time later. Fool me once...

    I have given it ago - but as you say the only guarantee (as its a variable rate) is that they will pay you at least the bonus 0.35% until July 2020. But they could simply cut the rate to 0.35% - and still deliver on their commitment at any time!

    I applied for a Coventry ISA relatively recently (5 years or so ago) and had to write my password down on a.piece of paper and post it to them before I could use Internet banking! So glad that they've progressed in the meantime, from the Mesolithic to the Neolithic at least.

    that's a bit unfair: they didn't ask you to scrape your password on a rock! paper only dates from the second millennium BCE (first used in china).

    I have an existing ISA with Cov.
    Can I open a new one and transfer the old one into it?

    I have used the current year`s allowance with another provider already, so I can`t add any money to the new one, only fund it by transfer.

    Or do I have to wait until after 6th april to open a new one?

    Transferring an existing isa has nothing to do with your yearly allowance.
