Absolutely agree Maman SW is a lifestyle not a diet - just as well because I wouldn't be able to stick to a diet, LOL! SW definitely works around my life with all its' ups and downs.

I haven't got much time until my next holiday, only about 3 weeks and in that time I've got a meal out at 5 Guys for my grandson's 21st birthday and the following week a meal out at Chapter One for my sister's 70th birthday! I go on holiday for a month the week after that! And we all know that my month long holidays in France always end up with a gain after all the French bread, cheese & red wine!

Like you as long as I get back on plan immediately after meals out and holidays it all comes off again (eventually!) - sometimes takes longer than I'd like but it does happen!

Delighted to report a 3.5lb loss after WI today, and SOTW as well :o. Will be celebrating with my smallish Lindt bunny tonight as a special treat. Sticking to 5-6 Syns a day seems to be doing the trick for me, as well as avoiding pasta, rice and potatoes most days, but eating plenty of Speed foods. Also drinking a lot of NAS squash, taking a leaf out of bubbs’ book ;). Long may it continue :rotfl:.

Dinner tonight is second half of shepherds pie made with the leftover lamb and topped with swede/carrot mash, it was yummy and free!

Keep at it losers, you know the plan works, just follow the rules .

    That's brilliant! Well done!:T:T:T

It seems like you're following a loose SP plan which is obviously working for you. I'm sure you've told us before, but do you have a lot to lose?

Those restaurants are very different denise. Chapter One is likely to be more SW friendly as the portions will be tiny!:D I remember going to a similar place to 5 Guys with my DGD and I even ate cheesy nachos.

DH ordered meatballs when we were away last week and I'd forgotten he liked them so I think I'll add them to the meal plan. This recipe looks OK and I have all the ingredients except the pork. Anyone tried it?

That's a great loss poundsinbucks following a long bank holiday weekend, also getting SOTW. Even with damage limitation I'm still expecting a gain on Thursday but hopefully will still be in target range! We shall see!

Maman I haven't tried the meatball recipe but it looks good. I'm not sure it's completely necessary to have the pork mince. I'm sure it would work with all beef mince. I haven't tried the SW meal from Iceland either! Wasn't impressed with the couple I did try and the sausages were awful even when chucked into a casserole!!!

Meatballs is something we haven't had for a while either, although I did make faggots a little while ago so sort of meat balls. Have to say they were really nice with the onion gravy (made double the recipe as 1st time I did them there wasn't enough gravy), some mash & a couple of veg.

When you make the meatballs let us know how good they were!

I love orange smarties more than any other things.
That is how it all started.

I didn't realise they tasted any different (probably because i just cram them all in :o)

Well done TTD and Pounds... on your losses! Hope things are looking up soon TTD.

I forgot to take my mug into work for my coffees today, and on the one hand I've saved myself three syns over the day and drunk a tonne more water, but on the other I've got this raging headache :(

    Today:
B - Alpen light (1/2 HEB), chopped apple, pineapple and passion fruit
D - Ham, grated carrot and beetroot, cucumber
T - Beef and courgette curry, rice
    Syns - sugar in coffee (2), hot choc (2), pre-packed sweet beetroot (1) ... maybe a Penguin (6.5) = 11.5

Tete that sounds like a caffeine withdrawal headache. Do you drink it strong?

I think I am nearly halfway roughly, aim is to get into a healthy BMI range, but we will see how we go. This is all baby weight :o, my babies are 19 and 21 now :o:o:o. About 10 years ago I lost 5 stone doing Cambridge, but of course piled it all back on a few months after stopping. I can see SW as a new way of life for me and my OH now. Loving the fact we can still eat so many things, even ‘naughty’ stuff, as long as you make it fit into your plan. I even enjoy going to group (didn’t think I would) and also love this thread. To get advice from you guys who have been at it for longer is so helpful, so thank you for being there :T:T:T.
