Which Credit Card should I get

Hi All
So Debenhams have really annoyed me . They sent me an email saying 30% off and an extra 10% off for cardholders. Went online, got to checkout only to find out that the 10% didn't apply to my basket. It may have been easier for them to list what is included as to me everything is excluded (see below).
Anyway so this has prompted me to think that I need a better credit card. I only ever have one so my question is what is the best on the market for say money back etc.
I pay off my card each month in full but am a bit nervous of the ones where you buy everything on CC so not sure that is an option for me but the next best one to that would be great.
What are peoples thoughts?

Opt for something worthwhile for yourself. Some do airmiles, some cashback, while others do clubcard points - it really depends on your personal preference.
EG - Airmiles are no good if you don't travel by air.
I wouldn't close your debenham card if it's the only one you have or have had as long standing cards are generally seen as stability by other lenders.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. The Debenhams offer exclusions are fairly standard. Keep it for what it offers you, rather than closing it for what it doesn't.
Get another card or two as backup and for alternate offers.
I'm not sure of the type of cards you're nervous of.0 -

You don't have to buy everything on CC, you still get to choose how to pay for things.
I have a Sainsburys and a Tesco credit card which I use for the weekly shop and petrol and pay off in full every month by direct debit. It really boosts clubcard and nectar points.
Also, here is MSE's list of reward cards: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/cashback-credit-cards/?&_ga=2.181248612.298034227.1550265427-1491469024.1494527325#asdaDebt Free: 01/01/2020

I have a platinum rewards AMEX, which gives you 5% cashback on everything in the first three months (limited to max £100 cashback). Had this since December and have got £135 so far (was lucky and paid my rent with this). The cashback goes down to 1% or 0.5% depending on how much you spend.
The downside is AMEX isnt accepted everywhere. I have a barclaycard freedom rewards credit card that I use in places that AMEX isnt accepted.
Definitely worth a look into the two I have mentioned (I did a lot of research before getting them both).
Worth mentioning that I also pay the balance off in full every month.0 -

You also have to spend at least £3000 per membership year in order to qualify for getting any of the cashback paid back to you as well0
