Flat buying - seller turning nasty

I'm SO glad she stopped reading this thread after the first couple of pages. She'd have a field day tearing me to shreds after reading that!Guy_Montag wrote: »Now show this new man to your GF, that will get her over any emotional issues

I've just noticed this thread and read the 10 pages so far. I can't believe how badly you have been treated and hope it all works out for you and your gf. The seller sounds like a right horror....you have definately made the right choice asking for the original agreed price and not buying the second hand furniture at a highly inflated cost. If it falls through there will be something better round the corner.
I will be watching for the outcome...Good Luck

Oh PLEASE send your seller a link to this!
Seller! If you're reading this, then a lot of people think you are a right cow, and wonder how you can sleep nights. I really hope there is something in this whole karma thing, because the brown stuff will surely hit your particular fan big time. And serve you right!!!

Also very noticable how OP is always trying to be fair, decent, and make the purchase happen. If I was emigrating and found a buyer paying £2K over agreed price, and paying to take my furniture, I'd do everything to speed up the transaction. Having cleared my Grans and my Mothers houses, I realise just how little re-sale value these items have. Happy flat hunting tomorrow - I'm really hoping you find a better place at a better price, partly because I think you deserve it, but also, and very selfishly, because it will be a great twist in this tale.0

NO,NO,NO,...Do not tip the seller off!!!!
We all want it to come as a surprise on exchange of contracts thingy day.
Why not sell raffle tickets to come with you to the solicitors,to listen in on speakerphone,to hear you bid her £5000 less.
Sorry that I have nothing constructive to add,(but put me down for 2 tickets on the front row):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
