If you phone them they apologise for the lack of debit card payment as part of the recorded message intro.
The offers bit was fine for me - they just weren't great offers so I was phoning to close the account now the balance was paid off and the 0% was about to expireI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Thanks for that, yes that recorded message makes sense and the site did say it takes 2 days to update my changed profile info so I might take another look at offers then.
Of course I'm not desperate for any offers as I always position myself to not NEED an offer so I'll see if everything settles down in maybe a week or two.0 -
Slow to produce a statement. My balance closed off last night and no statement produced yet, the old system had it there first thing in the morning.0

Just had a look at their website and right at the top it says:
"We’re really sorry, at the moment, you can’t make payments to your credit card using your debit card. You can still make Faster Payments from your bank account using Sort Code 77-29-00, Account number 00000000 Ref: Your 16 digit card number."It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Ability to pay by debit card now appears to have been restored.
However I note that it will not let me pay more than the outatanding balance, i.e. put it into credit. The old MBNA used to let me do this.
I wonder if they will stop those that used to use MBNA as a 'mule' to get cash from a balance transfer.0 -
Mbna site still having issues. You still can’t apply for any cards or it says make any payments online.0

Yes, that's typical of the Halifax / Lloyds system. It also seems to send an email or text one day before the statement is actually ready to view /download. Got used to it now with Halifax and wait a day before trying.0 -

Not impressed at all. Not keen on the layout, I only want the bare bones basics from a card provider website (or app) and this new version manages to make even that harder.
Also, my DD went out this morning, and the new site doesn't show the payment, nor does it reflect in the balance. Seems all a bit thrown together really.0
