Alice - upload your photo to a hosting site (imgur, tinypic etc.) then copy the link in a reply here.

Thanks DoaM, tinypic worked for me.

Sounds like the one that goes from the reservoir to the power steering pump. Low/no pressure so just check clamps and replace it if necessary if the hose has deteriorated. Also check there are no cracks in the reservoir allowing fluid to seep out and along the hose.

Thanks Ed. I've posted a pic.. if that makes it any clearer?

No not really; different layout to my Lantra. Trace the hose and see if the ends are just clipped on with hose clips (low pressure) or whether it terminates in metal fittings that are screwed in (high pressure). Assuming its low pressure, just check for leaks or replace as per previous post.

    Hi Ed

It's high pressure - screws in to metal fitting.

So far it hasn't caused a problem and the power steering fluid reservoir is almost full.
  • Are you sure its power steering fluid on there and not something else like oil or coolant spreading over that hose?

    Hi Ed

That is something a friend suggested to me on the phone last night. He said to clean it up and then observe. He will also have a look next time I see him. He said it could be eg oil the previous owner spilt. However it has never been picked up on the MOT before and this is the second MOT I've had done on it. I will keep monitoring.

    Thanks

Mmmm I didn't get anywhere with either of those advisories and left them but now the engine warning light (Malfunction light) has come on..

Is it worth buying a diagnostic kit for this?

    Thanks
