@the Deep I didnt get my costs via The Judge I will do as you suggest.
Additionally what does the forum think about trying to get a refund for losing a previous case to same claimant same car park.

Edit: does soemone have a template I can use?
Why do so many winning people not ask the Judge before they leave?

Now you are chasing shadows, but try reading LoadsofChildren123's April post about trying to claim costs late, that you should have asked for at the hearing.

Anyway, never mind what Socrates_1 says, you beat a scam, and we win 99% of the time (the industry hate us - that's why he posts here). WELL DONE!

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

May I be the first to congratulate you on your win.

Operators like that need all the abuse a court can give them if, after all this time, they can't get the basics right. Even if the signs were badly written, there were never enough in the first place. Companies like that just give the impression that with a few key phrases that people can see these claims off. It is not the case.

There is great expectation that Greg Knights bill will sort out these incompetents to the extent that the signs and the paperwork will be prescribed. Judges will never need to question a sign or paperwork again.

Whether it will dawn on these operators is another matter.
As we all know, and so did the MPs in the Houses of Parliament, they are all incompetent greedy scammers though, Socrates_1.

Unless you want to reveal yourself officially, by getting permission from MSE Towers to post for the company and convince us that you prop up that rare breed - as common as a Dodo - some amazingly *competent and non-scammer* PPC?

How will you cope with PCNs being pegged at fifty quid a pop though? £25 within 14 days, if it happens?

Wouldn't it be great if all parking firms bit the dust and you all had to get real jobs rather than rinsing and intimidating innocent people with penalties for no service whatsoever?

BIB - I DID ask for costs the judge waffled some legal jargon I didnt follow, and refused my request I said in my post :)

What do you think my chances of claiming back the money I paid to Gladstones from first case a few years ago. Based on the judgment yesterdayon evidence of forbbiding signs, which I didnt know of at the time could I invoice them. Might be worth a try?

    Send directly to PPC.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

The other one that you paid, did you go to a hearing, or just paid up?

I think your only possible option to recover that cost, plus an option for recovering your recent attendance and stationary costs (as your Judge refused) would be to send a LBC to the LADOWNER who contracted with them.

Then, a court claim, worded properly to explain your cause of action, maybe with the help of Legal Beagles as we mainly do defences.

Who was that? Must have been among their WS evidence I'd have thought, unless they didn't provide it due to a defence that didn't raise landowner authority.

Any scope to sue the landowner might work, on the basis that they remain liable at all times for the conduct of their agent, and on the basis that most landowners would be an easier Defendant for you to push for money than Gladstones or a PPC.

OK, well try writing quickly (posting it today or tomorrow) to the Judge pointing out the CPRs about standard costs, as you had a right under the 'standard costs' rules, to seek up to £95 in lost salary or leave, plus travel and parking, at least.

Attach a copy of a wage slip and proof of travel costs or mileage calculation, and your costs schedule that you filed & served in advance in good faith (I hope you did).

I was quite surprised the Judge in my case never asked why car was parked, why when it says no permit holders etc, Dont they care about the reasons or is that simply no the issue in court?

It's all about the individual Judge. I'm sure some would ask very sternly!
