    Hi Chollita

Why not sell to your friends and workplace / Mums at school (if you have a little one that is) / local hairdressers or doctors / neighbours that you know.

You may find that you can build a small but reliable customer base there without having to knock door to door

    :)

Not working and no kids (and most of my friends are blokes!) but thanks for the suggestion!

They must stagger them then, as its only a small firm that delivers, keeps the warehouse busy i guess
  • Thanks everyone
I think i'd better give my rep a call and see when shes planning on delivering just in case.

Has anyone held an Avon party before? I'm thinking of holding one for family and friends between Christmas and New Year and was hoping for some tips?

Maybe do up a basket and hold a raffle.
When I go to these type of parties, the tickets are about £1 each so the tickets cover the cost of the prize.

Maybe give incentives for large orders, e.g. if you spend £50 tonight get something free or perhaps a % donation to a local cause.

Have some sort of game to break the ice with a small prize
e.g.wrap it up in layers and then have a set of instructions for passing it round.
e.g. pass it to the one with the darkest hair or pass it to the one 3 to your left
each person unwraps and last person gets the prize (like pass the parcel).
Just getting people handing something round breaks the ice and if you can make the instructions amusing then it can get people talking
e.g. pass it to the one with the last christian name alphabetically (this means that people have to tell each other their names)

demonstrate, pass round and talk about some of the products.
Again it breaks the ice if people are passing something round.

Maybe pick someone out for a makeover.

I would be happier if I had planned some activities rather than having silence.
