Hi Wyntir,
I have loads of lipstick samples. Let me know which ones your customer would like and I will confirm if I have them.

I'm thinking of runnin small ad in my local paper asking for 'workplace partners' (good name/bad name?) basically someone who takes a few brochures into their workplace and I'll give them 10% or 15% worth of orders to be spent in the brochure, and maybe a free gift as a bonus for hitting certain targets. Anyone tried this or have an opinion on whether it's a good idea/bad idea?0

You can always try it and see "he who dares wins Rodney" etc.....:D I have not had any responses to my e-bay classified ad yet....... However, I do want a little rant-ette. I have noticed that the internet exclusive offers on the website for reps are more than the sale to customers price. On the "wanted" section somebody is asking for the gel eyeliner that they've discontinued - and lo and behold in Star magazine (or it might be Essentials) they have reviewed the No 7 one with lots of praise... why do Avon do this?
We could have flogged it using the "look at this and it's cheaper" sales line. Also the cream weekender bag - discontinued and yet M&S are still selling their £49.50 version in the new catalogue (free with a mag before you all faint!:D ). However, the new necklaces for Brochure 14 are VERY similar to ones in Accessorise for about three times the price and again in Essentials there are some Wallis bangles " a snip at £10 each" which are virtually identical to the big turqouise and yellow ones in our brochures already! They really don't help us do they?
If I were the head of marketing I would list in each HT what products on the high street they are already selling doubles of....... strewth do we have to do everything for them?
Rant over - as you were...:rotfl:
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
On the subject of Campaign 12 being pants I have just totalled up and my orders (minus anything I want and clearance/samples etc) come to - drum roll - £74.35..... Well at least it's over commission level I guess...... and what's this about hardbacked 15 brochures? Mine are on their way but I can't wait :jBut I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
