Hi this is my first post on here, been reading the whole thread :-).
Im quite new to Avon, only on my second campaign - just put in book 12 orders, done really well it looks like as a lot of people didnt have much luck with book 12 ( i got just over £300 worth of orders). I cant wait every month for the orders to come so i can see what everyones ordered and if i am able to back order items for freebies Woo Hoo. I have been a loyal Avon customer for years and would always order from my lady every month. One thing i would like to have a good old moan about is.... Ordered the Royal Worchester figurine from HT13, spent my £5.25 so to get for £24.70 and low and behold when my invoice arrived i had been charged £49.40!!!, went thru the amedments page that came with my invoice and Avon stated Clearance items and samples dont count towards the £5.25 spend to get discount!!! How rubbish perhaps they should of put that in HT13... Now i have got to send back for credit and back order from HT13 next month and still spend £5.25 to get discount!!!.Ok rant over and feeling much better now lol... Apart from that im loving it :-)

The £15 start up fee basically covers them for your first lots of brochures, their stationary and the admin it takes to get your account set up. I think this is fair actually compared to the other companies like Body Shop at Home who charge £90 for their starter kit!
Ignore RIE - she's just mad because Avon won't listen to us at the moment and we have a long list of demands. Most of them are quite petty but they're OUR demands damn it. Still no shower gel samples I see? I'm reduced to decanting shower gel into tiny bottles again this year for my holiday humph.

How much  ? I need to lie down. So many demands - so many sit in protests to organise ;) BTW some of use don't have any safe places or any family to leave our returns with and start work about 2 hours before the courier arrives :p Still think we should get shower gel samples back though - they were a real good sample.... Avon is, despite all our moans, still one of the best value ways of getting toiletries - bar the "smart price" ranges. I think we should all push this value for money thing in the credit crunch! Go for it - as one of my mottos is "He who dares Rodney...." Even if you decide you don't like being a rep you'll still have a load of stuff you can use yourself (I haven't bought anything in Boots or Superdrug for years :D !) As for the time taken to join - not very long. The first time I had a bit of a dozy are manager but when I re-joined I had a good one who was 'round within a couple of days bearing brochures...... You should certainly be giving out your campaign 14 brochures if not 13 and don't forget that christmas is coming!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Hello, I am not a rep just a customer, but I have a question and wondered if someone could answer it for me.

I had book 12 delivered to my house recently, but the girl did not collect it (I left the book and order outside to be sure, in case she came while I was out.)

I have looked at avon online and campaign 12 has now ended and the items I wanted on special offer are not on offer anymore. I am a bit annoyed! If I ring her or another rep in my area, could she still order from brochure 12 and still get the special offers?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you think we should start an e-petition to get our shower gel samples back then? I do feel we're all in agreement that they're one of the few things we could actually sell off the back of a sample!!

Imagine if we could give Naturals samples out? I mean that stuff smells absolutely amazing yet hardly anyone gives it a go.

Failing that - we could just let RIE stage a sit in I guess...
  • I'll nip down to the shed and knock up a placard :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think we should ask them to reinstates the shower gel samples and the idea of naturals samples would be a down-right winner Elle83. The stuff is great but people just seem to by-pass it. I tend to give them out as my free gifts but even then it's so-so whether people pick up on the hint. Also I found that the shampoo samples worked wonders ......... I keep checking the representative questionnaire section on the web page but nothing so far... Anyway, I'm doing a load of "beat the credit crunch" stickers tomorrow.....

Can I just point out how darn freaky it is that we always seem to be online at the same time? Are you stalking me at all RIE? It's okay if you are, I understand why, many people do ;)

    :rotfl:

Sorry, anyways, when did you get shampoo samples then? How often do they change them round? I'm sick to death of opening up the HT mag and finding the same boring stuff in it. Also, why so bloody expensive? I could buy a full size product for 15 sachets of the trial size stuff. I reckon it'd be cheaper to fill a perfume bottle with samples when they're on offer though. 30p for 5 Fire Me Ups the other week. I though hmmm, well if I buy ten lots for £3 then I could probably fill hte 50ml bottle couldn't I? Unless of course it's less than 1ml in each but it looks about 1ml?

I should really get some sleep I think...

  • Oh my good god! Is it true that camp 15 are hardback!? Thats pretty exciting to a sad avon rep like moi!

I read someone mentioned the magix foundation stuff. i got a little trial dodar of it and i tried a bit on my hand. i dont really get it- it just seems to be a clear foundation that "works for every skin type". We'll have to see how that one goes. Better try it on my face though incase someone asks me about it! eek!

Did anyone do really well with the mistake proof mascaras? I think ive sold about 2 but wondered if anyone else did very well off them?

Also, how do you look at your online order? I'd quite like to be prepared for what avon are out of stock on! grr

:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls
  • I know LiverpoolLouise I'm excited too :j :j You can look at your order on line by going to the rep page and clicking on "view invoices" a couple of days after submission and it should be there. Thanks for that on the Magic X foundation - it was me who said "what the  " - I shall look forward to that. Do we have to leave feedback or anything? Didn't sell any mascaras.

Elle83 - the shampoo samples were certainly one packaging incarnation back (if not more). You could get packs of individual ones and then a variety pack. They were a godsend. Don't see why they were stopped - after all you get them in mags from other cosmetics giants. Mind you, you used to be able to get a lot more SSS samples than you can now....
