Avon - Hints and Tips?

If you have a small sprayer than that would work brilliantly. If not you could just tip the sample on a ball of cotton wool or some tissue and then very quickly before it all soaks in, wipe it on the bags. I was planning on just printing out soem stickers saying "Your bag has been spitzed with Avon's Number One Seller- Christian Locroix Rouge. Please enjoy!"
I wont be putting the page number or anything on because this might change from camp to camp and also if they really like it then they will look for it. xxx:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls0 -
I've also been chasing a customer this time only for a £15 order, but i finally got hold of her last night and she just said she didn't have any money, this was the second time she was trying to fob me off, so i said i'll have to return it then, and she just shrugged and closed the door.
why order something if you've got no intention of paying for it!
so now i've got to do my first return.. urgh!
and i work, so it'll be difficult to get to see the courier.
which is another annoying thing at the moment.
last tuesday was my regular order. i obviusly missed him, thought he'd put it in my back garden as stated, nope he dumped it in the bushes out the front of my house!
So why, when they attempt to deliver an additional order a couple of days later do they not leave it anywhere at all??? i'm still waiting for this delivery, i'm having to keep telling the customers it's delayed, and the courier office closes at 5pm, with no way of getting in touch with anyone.
have canvassed a totally new street, and not a single order, and i've lost more than half the books as people aren't in, or don't leave them out, or have chucked them!
*sigh* Not a happy bunny here!0 -
Know what you mean about additional orders. Mine left Avon HQ a week ago and are still with the courier.... I had expected them over the weekend but it looks like they're delivering on Wednesday like a normal order then.....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Hi everyone
Just been reading through this thread with interest, I did Avon about 10 years ago before I had my kids and I did really enjoy it, although spent all my earnings on the products themselves!, I do buy now from an avon rep that my mum used before she died, but as I have moved house and area, I am thinking about doing this again
Only thing is, I am concerned about being given someone elses patch (this happened to me last time!) and cos I'm in a new area, I don't really have any friends to sell to here so it would have to be door to door
can someone give me the lowdown on how it works now?Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -

I was given someone else's patch and it annoyed the heck out of me! But I found little ways to build things up and I do okay now. I have a couple off the estate who order through friends on it (the other rep is still on my patch you see so my orders from it are restricted) plus I do 2 shops in the town, a woman I used to work with and my ex-MIL. It adds up to just enough.
We're self employed so Avon refuse to get involved with territory. Same as they frown upon ebay selling but can't stop it because of the self employment laws.

I like the idea of spraying the brochures but that said, they do already do scented pages in the books don't they? And people still don't bother ordering half of them!! But if you wanted to do the spray thing, look out for an atomiser in the sales booklets because they had one for £2.50 (£1.75 to us) in sale 11 I think it was. There are little TDA perfumes in brochure 13 that are half price £4 each (£3 to us) I think? They'd be a good idea if you wanted to do the perfume thing.0 -

Well it's certainly something worth considering I think. Maybe a good one to try a few times a year or at Christmas etc?
ETA I thought the Make Me Wonder and Fire Me Up etc were better than the usual scented pages by the way - I even had a couple of orders for them!0 -
I also noticed that they were allot stonger smelling than normal.
Does any one else get loads of complaints about the lack of mens smelly pages?
I returned a box of items worth about £100, and its all been recharged to me, so now I have an outstaning account balance (only noticed today) will this affect my order thats supposed to be delivered tomorrow? I rang up about the returned items, but forgot to ask if it would delay my order, and I'm not going to spend another £5 or whatever just to ring and ask that!
